Friendly staff and the villa is very nice

No issues with property

On the positive side, the villa itself was large, with a great private pool and spacious interiors. The beds were big and very comfortable, and the overall layout and aesthetic of the villa had great appeal. The biggest redeeming feature was the incredible hotel staff. They were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. Their quick response to any issues really made a difference and made our stay much more enjoyable. Without their service, our overall experience would have been significantly worse.

However, the property was definitely in need of some TLC. Several things were broken or worn out—locks didn’t work, doors were hard to open or close, light switches were hanging off the walls, and one of the shower handles even fell off while we were using it. These issues detracted from what could have been a truly relaxing stay. The included breakfast was unfortunately very disappointing. It arrived ice-cold, having been transported from Canggu in the early morning. The listed “bread basket” was just two slices of plain white toast with a small omelette. After giving our feedback, the staff acted quickly and arranged for us to order breakfast daily from a much better local café, which we appreciated. We also had a visit from a large rat, which was quite unsettling. It chewed through our toddler’s bottle, our backpack, a dish sponge, and even tried to eat the salt. The staff again responded swiftly by calling in a pest controller to place rat bait, but the presence of the rodent definitely made us feel uncomfortable. The location was also not what we expected—it was quite remote, surrounded by very narrow backstreets and in a more rundown area, with stray dogs, chickens, and burning rubbish piles nearby. Had we known more about the area beforehand, we likely wouldn’t have chosen to stay there. Other small issues included a broken stair tread in the upstairs room and pool edges that looked a bit mouldy.

Service and well maintenance property

It was exceptionally beautiful place and Pak Oka and his staff has done their best. Their breakfast was yummy and my children enjoyed so much for the hospitality and kindness.

The pool was amazing. The size was exceptional, the water was very clean and the pool was nice and deep in the middle. The rooms were good sizing and the whole villa was very clean and comfortable. Shower and bathroom was nice and large. Location was very close to the beach and main road into nusa dua.

Our fridge stopped working a day into us being there due to an electrical issue so unfortunately we did not have a fridge for a day until staff were able to come and move the fridge. Lots of caterpillars come inside the villa during the morning but did not effect our stay.

Their huge private pool and attentive service create a sweet escape. Me and my partner were very pleased by their villa teams. I'll be coming back if I visit Nusa Dua area.

Spectacular villa. It is huge, with three bedrooms and ensuites. The living room and well-equipped kitchen were beautiful and spacious. Fantastic hosts who maintained a spotless environment. Luxurious gardens and pool are very private and have beautiful uninterrupted views of the ocean and bridge. The pool is large and well-maintained, with an adjoining spa. Despite being close to town this location was very quiet and peaceful.

The villa layout is very good. Big beds and bedrooms. Big swimming pool. Perfect for a family gathering. The staff was extremely welcoming and responsive. Overall, we had a great experience at Villa Cempaka.

The location was quite far with a narrow street. The parking spot was outside the villa compound but safe enough with the security available at the villa.
