Delightful 4BD Home full of Flair Edenbridge Kent

The location of the house is superb. It is nestled among beautiful trees and surrounded by large ponds, and it's very quiet and secluded. The house itself is very beautiful too, and so old - it felt like we were having a Tudor holiday! The quality of the furnishings is very high, especially the comfortable beds and the kitchen is well equipped. I felt it was good value for money.

There are no curtains downstairs, and upstairs there are only makeshift curtains. This felt out of keeping with the rest of the property, which has been done up so stylishly and comfortably. It made the place feel less cosy. Also, there are no children's books, and very few games, toys, or adult reading books. We knew about this in advance, so we brought our own, but in my opinion it would really improve the property if it had a shelf or two of things for children. Finally, there are lots of low ceilings, as you would expect in a period house. The owners have helpfully put bright tape in useful places to show these up, but I still managed to bash my head repeatedly, or spend a lot of time stooping. Worth considering if you are 5ft9 or taller!

Lovely peaceful location, very clean and large enough for a family group of 7. Kitchen was well equipped and the second toilet was very useful.

It lacked any personal touches, it's always difficult balancing between being overly personal but it was a bit bland which was disappointing. That said would still go again.

Beautiful old characterful house

No mirrors in the bedrooms and the bathroom light above the mirror kept turning off all the time. My bedside light needed a new bulb.
