Misleading advertising. This is advertised as a B & B but is a Hostel instead. I booked this late at the same night for 2 nights after a long travel trip,it was difficult to find because there was no signage.

Le logement était super. Sauf que vous n'avez pas fourni de moyen simple d'y accéder ; il faut appeler pour trouver une solution. Si nous ne pouvons pas appeler, ce serait catastrophique. Il faut simplifier les choses. Permettre au client de payer l'acompte comme il le souhaite, uniquement par carte de crédit c’est difficile pour ceux qui ont des urgences ou de moyens limités attendre longtemps. Sinon, tout s'est bien passé.

Unfortunately, upon arrival, I found the room in unacceptable condition — it was extremely dirty and clearly not properly cleaned or maintained. Due to the poor hygiene and overall state of the room, I decided not to stay. I believe this level of service is a sign of disrespect to your guests, and I was very disappointed by the experience. Given the circumstances, I kindly ask for a full refund. I hope we can resolve this matter quickly and professionally. Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to your response.

I was disappointed in the overall condition of the place, considering I paid $170/night (through Expedia). My room was clean and "nice" enough (sort of shabby chic, but a bit too heavy on the shabby), but the bathrooms were dirty and the two communal back decks had dead plants and bits of garbage and debris. On my last day, both bathrooms were completely out of toilet paper. I texted the property and they replied right away. They sent over some tp within 60 minutes. But...honestly...that should not happen. Running out of coffee is one thing, but realizing there is no TP while you are sitting on the toilet is a whole other ballgame. To summarize, I would describe this B & B as "passable" but with a neglected vibe. If they put a little bit of money and effort into smoothing out the rough edges and doing a few cosmetic improvements, as well as enhancing their overall "organizational flow", it would make a huge difference, because the place has a lot of potential.

"Lots of warnings "

- This is actually a hostel with a shared bathroom between multiple bedrooms. - The lock code was never given to our bedroom but we guessed and it actually was the same code as the main door, so thats not safe at all if all the bedrooms have the same lock code! - There were no towels in our room we had to ask for one and an hour later someone came and dropped them off. - The "free breakfast" is a choice of plain bread, peanut butter, jelly, an uncooked egg or uncooked bacon you are meant to cook yourself in their shared kitchen. And then once you select it they bring it to the shared kitchen fridge in a brown paper bag for you. It's like a sad version of DoorDash. No milk for the coffees - No soap in the shower for the shared bathroom. Just one random Costco shampoo and nothing else. Literally. I had to go out and buy a bar of soap just to use the shower. - No AC, and no screens on the windows so if you are traveling with a pet and want to keep the window open to get some fresh air into the place, you have to limit how wide the window is to keep your pet safe. - The beds had no bedside table so you literally have to put your water glass or phone or whatever else you like to have near you when you sleep, on the floor. - Overall this place has potential if it actually added the basic amenities you would expect. Instead of their sad breakfast offering they should just go get basic simple breakfast and put it in the kitchen.

There is no AC. The room was VERY HOT, there was a fan in our room but it didn’t cool things down, just moved the hot air around. Be advised that the listing mentions heating and Fans, when you follow the check in process, they advertise AC is available. No AC is given. In the room I stayed in it had a window but no screen so bugs could come in, and it was right next to the terrace area so people could reach into the room through the bars. The photos in this listing do not match the actual spaces either. It is a very old building and not modern looking at all. There is also no front desk, which was advertised, it is self check in through the cloudbeds portal which wasn’t clear in the listing either. We arrived at night and there was plenty of parking, had no issues here through out our stay. Be advised this is more of a hostile, with a shared bathroom than it is a hotel with a private room and bathroom. It worked for us for a few nights but definitely wasn’t ideal especially since the listing is misleading, which was disappointing.

Extrêmement difficile de parler à quelqu'un et de faire la réservation. B&B où il faut pré-commander le déjeuner avant 23h la veille sinon, comme dans mon cas, pas de déjeuner. Très sale, pas d'air conditionné alors qu'il fait plus de 30°C! Pas d'eau, pas de mouchoirs. Salle de bain partagée avec 5 ou 6 autres chambres. Le matin quand je me suis levée, impossible d'aller aux toilettes car il y avait quelqu'un dans la douche! J'ai dû aller aux toilettes au restaurant d'à-côté.... Jamais plus!

Terrible. Called about parkig since parking was terribly hard to find. They told me its free overnight after 9pm on the street, found a spot, wake up to a parking ticket in the morning. Called them in the moring to tell them to remind customers where ro park and they said to only park on a certain side of the road. Failed to mention many things and terrible communication. Terribly hot and discustingly old in the hostel too. Don't recommend AT ALL

The key issue with this establishment is the huge gap between its online presence and its actual situation. For starters, the name "La Maison du Mile-End is nowhere to be seen. On the door it says "Bernard B&B." After booking, I spoke with someone at the establishment who assured me that I would not need a smartphone to check in. As requested I called in again the day before we left when I was again assured that someone would be there mid-morning. Later that day I received an email with a link to a portal. It enabled me to order breakfast. When we arrived as planned, we could not access the premises as it required a code. We were not given a code and there was no mention of a code during our two telephone conversations. After much effort and help from a stranger, finally someone showed up who accepted our luggage for safekeeping. We said we would be back around 8 pm and were assured that someone would be there -- we just had to ring the doorbell. Again, no mention of a code. Upon arrival in the evening, after endless ringing of the doorbell, someone showed up from outside. When I vented my frustration, he said I better stop talking or he would walk away and not help us; I said not another word. This comment has a 1500-word limit. I have much more to say and will find another way to continue. Bottom line: This establishment should be banned from Expedia's list. It does not deserve to be in business.
