Fairy Bay Lakehouse

The lakehouse was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with large windows offering amazing lake views. The quiet surroundings and easy access to the water made it a perfect place to relax. We also enjoyed the cozy seating areas inside and outside.

We noticed some mosquito marks and insect remains on the wall, which would be better if cleaned before guests move in. The washing machine‘s room light wasn’t working, and a few appliances could benefit from maintenance. Additionally, footsteps from the upstairs area were quite noticeable at night and sometimes woke us up.

I’m extremely disappointed with my stay. I had specifically booked and paid extra for the Superior King Room with a lake view, but upon arrival, the hotel gave us a Deluxe King Room instead. Not only was this a downgrade, but it also completely defeated the purpose of why we chose this property in the first place. When I raised the issue, there was no proper explanation or effort to correct the mistake. Paying extra for a certain room category and not receiving it feels dishonest and unacceptable. I expected much better service and transparency. When guests pay extra for a specific room type, it’s only fair to deliver on that promise. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously so future guests receive the rooms they book and pay for.

It was a beautiful location, and we appreciated having the option of using the shared kitchen and dining area. Good to know that it’s not suitable for cooking, as there is no stove. We also really appreciated the good communication with the general manager.

On one of the floors there is a piano, which is a nice addition. However, it can sometimes cause some noise disturbance when other guests play it. Perhaps a small solution could be considered so that everyone can fully enjoy the peace and quiet.
