La Casona Pirámides

The hotel is decorated with beautiful talavera art, and rustic wood beams. There is a large courtyard if you would want to jog or exercise in the morning. There is no restaurant on site though. It is clean.

The location is in the middle of farm fields, don't let that fool you, it's an oasis inside. The staff are very nice. If you're visiting the pyramids, I recommend this place to get away from the tourism and crowds. In fact, I was the only one there. Comfortable bed and strong wifi. Covered parking inside the complex.

No hot water; see "I was the only one there" above. Probably an oversight in the off-season. If I had asked I'm sure they would have turned it right on but I'm a pretty rugged dude so, whatever, first world problems. As with everywhere in Mexico you will be awoken by church bells and stray dogs, it's just less here in the country. They play pleasant music in the complex, that should have been turned off at night, another oversight I assumed. I really hit this place in the extreme off-season, but I'd stay here again when it's all up and running. I recommend it.
