No food available at night. Breakfast on to late in morning to attend

Traditional pub and restaurant with rooms. Large car park. Quiet and surrounded by houses, gardens and greenery. Slightly dated decor but warm and welcoming. Very clean, nice big room. Warm - in fact a tad too warm overnight, we had to open windows! Excellent value and cooked breakfast included. Happier staying here than in corporate hotel in Newport centre, very friendly barely a 10 minute bus ride away and less in a car.

Excellent service from all the staff and the breakfast is freshly cooked and is included in the room price.

We chose this pub for convenience to Newport, price, parking & food availability. We received an excellent welcome & were well looked after throughout our stay. The room was good, quiet & clean. The bathroom was dated but perfectly adequate. The food was very good - cooked breakfast & restaurant meals too.

Nice friendly staff, good breakfast and location.

It was interesting to experience a stay in an old pub. The pub closed at 8:00 p.m. and you had to check in before they closed. To get to the room, we had to walk behind the bar and up a flight of stairs. Little availability of connections to charge your devices. Nice English breakfast included.

Good staff, good room, good food - what more do you need. I'll definitely stay again.
