Spacious 1BR at Downtown with Balcony

Great location-close to CBD, parkland and lots of eating and bar options.

Didn’t need 2nd bed. Might be better with a few more household items eg towel racks, curtains, music streaming.

Very central location. Quiet. Kitchen well equipped, with a coffee machine, microwave, stove, and an oven. The place is managed by a company, and they are super responsive, which was great. Wifi was very good.

Problems with cleanliness - the carpets were very dirty; I found some clothes from the previous guests, also a towel behind the washing mashine. The toilet seat wasn't clean either. No blackout curtains, so it was difficult to sleep because of the white nights and street lights. There is also an internal ventillation system (the windows don't open), which is making noise 24/7, and it was really annoying.

The location and the parking spot although it is low.

To get inside the apartment the key did work half of the time. To little chairs (need at least 4) and the chairs were wobbling. The dishwasher rack was broken.

The property is in an excellent location. The shower was nice and hot. The bed was very comfortable.

The property needs better management. At the moment it feels like the operators put themselves way above their guests. As soon as you enter the property, you are met with a list of demands, rules and what is expected of you as a guest. Take out the trash. Sort out the trash. Don't have guests to visit in the apartment. Clean the dishes. I have never encountered anything as unfriendly and outrageous as this in 44 years of global travel. Then, the curtains have been removed from some windows leaving just the Venetian blinds to keep you private. The light fitting at the far end of the lounge had been removed and the light in the centre of the lounge was so weak, you could not read a book on the sofa. The only place for reading and writing is in the bedroom or on a hard chair in the kitchen. I hope the operators of this apartment see my comments as an opportunity to change their attitude and put the guest first. Fit proper curtains or roller blinds. Fit adequate lighting. And for goodness sake, stop trying to use your guests as your personal cleaners. It is your job as a host to maintain the property.
