Element by Marriott Chattanooga East

I’ve been coming to the Element Chattanooga East for work about once a quarter for the past three years, and I can honestly say it’s by far my favorite hotel I stay at within the Marriott brand. Last year I seriously considered switching hotels because of a rude experience with a former manager, Sonya. However, when new management came in, I decided to give it another chance—and I’m really glad I did. The new manager, Rene, is extremely professional and such a genuinely kind person. I really enjoy seeing her when I’m there now. Nice lady. I’m also happy to see Bradley was promoted to Assistant Manager. He’s always been a delight and takes the time to have real, genuine conversations with me, which makes the stay feel much more personal. In the mornings, Isabelle at breakfast is always refreshing to see. She greets everyone with a smile and even comes over to give me a hug when I’m there—she’s another truly genuine person. I love the made-to-order breakfasts! The only small suggestion I’d have is to switch up the breakfasts menu a bit for guests staying multiple days, maybe adding some variety beyond the usual omelet and breakfast meat options. Other Elements do this. Not complaining, just small suggestions. Both Susie and Bradley at the bar are always fun to be around. The atmosphere is great, and the food is excellent. I especially love the Greek salads and cheeseburgers—everything tastes fresh and well prepared. I also think it’s a great touch that they have my work’s custom drink menu available. Akash at the front desk is also great—very cool, laid back, and genuine. It’s always a pleasant interaction checking in or out with him. My rooms are consistently clean and well maintained, and the lobby is always spotless and smells fresh. If there’s ever an issue, the staff goes above and beyond to make things right. I’ll definitely continue being a loyal customer of the Element. Thank you to the entire staff for all the hard work and professionalism—you all make the experience consistently excellent.

Clean and updated, free parking. The provided breakfast was much better than the usual continental/make your own waffle situation. They had a woman making eggs/ omelettes to order, had a nice grinding coffee/mocha etc machine, chobani yogurt bar. We did not check out the pool or workout areas. Bar on site for those who imbibe, and a mini snack store in the lobby. The savings of not staying right downtown comes with travel time, so it's a tradeoff depending on your activities, budget etc, but be prepared to pay extra for downtown parking on top of the cost of the hotels there.

One elevator was out of commission for over 24 hours, which made it difficult for patrons and staff to move efficiently. The parking lot was under construction but that will eventually resolve itself.

The breakfast was excellent! Had a made to order omelet that was great. Lots of options avail and very clean.

Not much I can say about what I didn't like. Both my husband and I loved our stay and plan to look for more Element locations when we travel. Will definitely stay here again.
