Mostly clean room. Bin hadn’t been emptied of a drink can and there was a ‘toffee pop’ biscuit under the chair. Shared bathroom which I didn’t think I was getting when I booked the room. Poor breakfast choices. Could not access the fire escape from the room as the window only opened about three inches. Frightening safety issue. The room booklet stated the restaurant was closed Monday and a Tuesday when in fact this was not true and had not been updated - I would not be surprised if people ate elsewhere as a consequence. One of the staff told me this was meant to be updated when the new owners took over last year but I thought this was a small detail which was sloppy and could lead to financial loss.

No downstairs accommodation. Wife unable to climb stairs! Manager very understanding and willing to remit last minute cancellation.
NZExcellent location, very good dinner in the restaurant downstairs. Overall very good, recently refurbished, double glazing all done very well.
The ensuite room was good but pretty small. I did not realize there was a guest kitchen, we had no tea/coffee making facilities in room.
GBNice big room facilities were ok be aware on the main strip so slightly noisy. Amberley is fine for a stopover go to DOTI just across the road amazing food and really nice staff. Brewing company was closed for renovations which was a shame as it looks fab.
