Great location literally opposite Omicho market, rooms were quiet and onsen was a bonus.

Rooms need a proper deep clean! Housekeeping approach felt lazy under the guise of being environmentally friendly. But the worst thing was the layout of the room (deluxe corner king). Despite being the biggest room we stayed in during our trip to Japan, the size and position of the tv and the raised platform meant there was literally no space in the room to even open a suitcase, place any items for use or walk around without stubbing your toe on something. Literally the worst designed hotel room I’ve ever stayed in.

Petit déjeuner typique comprenant un assortiment de poissons et fruits de mer de saison, des légumes marinés à la japonaise, le tout dans une ambiance très apaisante. J'ai pris le petit déjeuner en supplément et ça valait vraiment le coup. La chambre est légèrement plus grande que ce que l'on trouve habituellement dans les grandes villes (Tokyo, Kyoto) ; le matelas près du sol rappelle les couchages traditionnels mais en gardant la modernité des lits classiques. L'accès au bain chaud est très agréable, l'hôtel met à disposition des kimono dans lesquels on peut descendre aux bains en fin de journée pour se détendre.

Le check-in / check-out sur les bornes automatiques fait assez "impersonnel". Heureusement le staff de l'hôtel est présent malgré tout à l'accueil ; pour un hôtel de ce standing il faut conserver ce lien humain.
