We stayed in a room with a balcony, and the space was excellent — a great choice for families or friends travelling together. The house itself was full of character, and the host was warm and welcoming. We arrived early, yet were kindly shown around the property and had all our questions answered. There was also an adorable cat, and the kitchen and shared spaces were more than adequate.

Nice house guest, super good location and affordable price.

It's just a little bit old the place and you can notice it. But it's quiet good I would recommend it if you don't mind that.

The showers are broken. Both.

The owner and other travellers were super friendly and helpful. The location is good for those who want some peace and quiet after a noisy day in the city center.

This is a stay for a very undemanding traveller. We only booked one room, so perhaps other rooms are better. It's a good idea to bring your own towels and toiletries.

This is the letter I wrote to the staff. We didn't get a reply. Hello Jørn, We are leaving a day early. You were very nice to us yesterday, which we appreciate. However, we are leaving because this hotel is a sanitary disaster and we need to take care of our health. Yesterday, the plumbing in the kitchen didn't work, so we couldn't use it to cook. There were no spoons. This morning, the shower was flooded and broken, so I had to wash my hair in the sink. There were no lights, so we couldn't use any of the appliances that were promised, and the fridge was dirty and cracked. There was also mold in the room and a cracked window. Additionally, the laundry machine that was promised was filled with laundry, so we couldn't use that either. We would like to have a refund, and right now, we're leaving to check into another hotel.

I liked the kindness of our host, the international environment, the opportunity to meet other guests in the shared kitchen. I liked the style of the old wooden house, the garden, and the quiet neighbourhood. We could also go downtown and in a natural area (an island nearby) easily.

Be aware that it is an old house, and some equipments can be dysfunctioning, we have to share space with others. For us, it was really ok but if you're not comfortable with it, you might want to consider another stay
