Old Kyle Farm - Stunning Views - 2 mins from Skye Bridge

Not a lot, arrived to a strong smell of marijuana 😳 Got into property and found it very disappointing compared to images advertised. Sofa bed needed to be assembled and linen had a damp smell. Floor in downstairs bathroom were loose wooden slats with lots of splinters. No welcome pack or even milk in fridge. Bed upstairs was so uncomfortable, mattress was old and linen felt dirty. Whole property needs updating and cleaned/painted.

All of the above plus very expensive compared to others we’ve stayed in.

Die Lage der Unterkunft war fantastisch

Da wir als 2 befreundete Paare gereist sind, haben wir bei der Buchung angegeben 2 Schlafzimmer und 2 Badezimmer zu wünschen. Vorhanden war 1 Schlafzimmer mit Bad, sowie das Wohnzimmer mit Ausklapp- Sofa (leider war dies mit extrem unbequemen Matratzen ausgestattet, für Menschen mit Rückenbeschwerden nicht zu empfehlen)- ohne Bad, lediglich eine angrenzende Toilette) Wir haben telefonisch versucht, dies zu klären, leider ohne Lösungsansatz. Wir haben die Natur dennoch genossen, können dieses Quartier aber leider nicht für 4 Personen empfehlen

The place was very cute and clean. It was a good homebase to explore the Isle of Skye!

The property is starting to look at little tired and could do with some small renovation works

A peaceful location with a view towards the Skye Bridge and not far from places to eat during the evening (we had to do our own research as there was no information regarding local eateries in the property). The barn has been renovated to a reasonably high standard and was great for the 2 of us plus dog for an overnight stay. The heating issue was resolved quickly. A fabulous kitchen with plenty of high quality pots, pans and utensils plus Himalayan salt in a salt grinder! Top marks for that! The first floor sitting room was warm and comfortable as was the bedroom. I know past reviewers have mentioned the double bed which is unusual these days but we did know this before we arrived.

The approach to the property needs addressing - large pot holes at the entrance of the drive then a view of a large skip plus building materials littered around part of the garden. Sorting these issues would create such a different impression on arrival. What we could not fathom out though was the lack of crockery and cutlery. We rented a barn unit for 2 people; there were just 2 dinner plates, 2 cereal dishes, 2 side plates, 2 mugs (one chipped), 4 tumblers, 2 knives, 2 forks, 2 teaspoons and 2 dessert spoons. By the time we had dinner, all items had been used so we had to set the dishwasher for clean items for breakfast. In contrast, there was an abundance of really lovely quality saucepans, cooking utensils, great kettle and toaster so skimping on crockery and cutlery is a really poor business model and does not make sense. In fact it is an annoyance to many people who will downgrade the overall property rating because the property owner believes that enough crockery and cutlery for just one meal will suffice. We would have given this property 10 stars had it not been for the bare minimum of plates and cutlery.

Tudo novo, organizado e limpo. Cozinha bem equipada, lugar para estacionar é muito conforto.

The location was great - quite and secluded.

Beds and pillows were uncomfortable. While it looked nice, I'm not sure how long things will hold up in the Rowan house. The Cottage was very charming and we loved the deck to sit outside!
