First impression of the general area was that it was not a safe area. Example, lot with shipping containers across the street painted with graffiti. We observed brown smeared material on the shower walls, which may have been feces, a photo of which was provided to owner. We also observed dried toilet paper stuck to the back of the toilet bowl under the toilet seat, only observed if the seat were raised. Clearly, this property was not well cleaned, so we questioned the cleanliness of everything else. The master bed looked like it had been made overly quickly as it was heavily wrinkled and not made well. This along with the other cleanliness issues made us question whether the bed sheets had been washed from the previous guest. MOST Importantly: There was a potential SAFETY issue as follows: I always check windows and doors to ensure they are locked for my family's safety. Most all of the windows on both floors were left unlocked and were a struggle to lock them due to misalignment of the windows. Those that I got to lock barely caught the lock and were still unsafe. Two front windows on the lower level of the main room I could not get to lock at all. This coupled with being in a perceived unsafe area was very concerning and we were not comfortable staying there. We stayed first night as we had no where else to stay, but left and did not stay the next two reserved nights due to safety concerns. PLEASE REFUND my money for the last two nights, including fees and taxes.
The checkin process was easy. The place was clean, and smelled incredible. I wanted to take the mattress home and looked for a manufacturer tag because they were so comfortable. There’s a good little restaurant literally steps from your door and from this location you’re pretty well centrally located from anywhere you’d like to go. The only bad thing I can say is there’s a LOT of traffic noise. Which the owners anticipated being an issue and left a container of disposable ear plugs. Nice touch y’all. I’d definitely recommend a stay here.
