Palm Valley Cabins

Pleasant owners and staff, room was great, very clean and very nice, with a balcony.

If you have any disabilities, walking in with your luggage and sandals or flip flops is not advised, it has rather steep walk ways in some spots. Don’t take a lot of luggage, we only use packs, so it was okay for us, just a word of warning to others. Also, we told them we were checking out at 7am, we couldn’t get out the main entrance till 9am. We could not figure out how to leave the property, we walked around looking for anyone else on the property, there were no staff or anyone to tell us where to get out. Finally, after half an hour we found an unlocked door to the street, and left. The owner said he had told a staff member to tell us how to get out in the morning, but I guess she forgot. We were talking to her at the end of the shift and she never mentioned anything.

The room was "quaint". It was clean but certainly not too fancy. There are "wild" and domestic animals within the property. They made accommodations for my husband to back our small utility trlr into a more secure area than just simply street parking. We were traveling with over $2500 worth of furniture to replace what was damaged in our home from the flooding in Oct. They initially said it would be safe on the street. I said no, so they found a place for our cat and trlr.

Every where you had to walk was a steep path. I wasn't wearing proper footwear to traverse easily. I managed but with a bit of difficulty. Street parking only. When I read that, I think of all other accommodations where you park in front of your room or in the hotel parking lot. So this is a bit misleading. There was a free breakfast, but the "kitchen" didn't open until 9 a.m. We wanted to be on the road by 8 at the very latest, so we missed their free breakfast. The office also isn't open until 9 a.m.
