Bluewater Motel

I had a reservation for January 25th. I arrived to a slightly grungy room - cobwebs, stains, dead bugs, broken tv. I fell asleep but was awakened to a horrid smell. There was a sewer backup spewing feces into the bathtub. I immediately went to the office. They made a bunch of excuses as to why it was occurring and gave me a key to another room where I could use the bathroom. I went to the second room to find it unheated with a broken space heater and a door that wouldn’t lock. I went back to the office and asked if I could have a refund as I could not possibly stay in either of the rooms. I was given a portion of my money back and I will pursue Expedia to refund the remaining. Horrible experience.

The Mattress were in awful condition

It was a clean comfortable bed. But the room was lacking of any amenities including towels…..only one towel no hand towels or washcloths A bit run down for sure.

Major snow storm caused me to look for a motel. Clerk at gas station recommended this motel over the 2 motels across the street. WHY? Asked woman for senior rate - $70 + tax. Cost more than the amount I was just quoted on the phone now. DON'T STAY HERE! Everything was old and grubby, except the pristine white sheets. It's the only reason I stayed in that room. Once in my pjs, killed a cockroach in the bathroom, so went out and stored my clothes in the car overnight! The toilet was running non-stop. I'm handy and tried to fix it, but to no avail. Check the mug before you drink from it - mine was unusable. Such a shame. Old is fine, but clean is unacceptable in my books.

This small motel is a excellent motel. Rooms were really clean. Staff nice. There was no drama what so ever. Everyone staying there were working and cooked out together on weekends. I had a great experience. Highly recommended.

Sticky bedding ,sticky floor sticky door and door handles, sticky floor,sticky remote , television don't work,sticky tables,sticky floors .ewwh .Really Outdated, dusty .sticky towels,dusty and sticky bedding . I'm suppose to do two hundred words words or more so I'll keep going until it's gone. Toilet barely flushed ,the tub with no plug and the sink barely drained ,windows stuck , neighbour said his air conditioner didn't work . Rough toilet paper . Must I go on ...yes I did with two days remaining without a refund .

We booked this thru booking.com but once seeing the condition of this place, we cancelled and went else where! The carpet was dirty, it looked like the tub had never been cleaned! Only thing I can say, is the lady at the front desk was very pleasant.

The rates were Good. The Owners "Husband and Wife" were very friendly. Service was great. It was an excellent location for shopping,and a great restaurant right across the road. The Room was Dated But was very clean and in good shape, Best of all it smelled nice and clean and we didn't have to go buy a room freshener. They Had a Barbecue That was for the Guests. The Pool was clean and it was relaxing to go for an evening dip before retiring for the night. Beds were clean and comfortable. Both my wife and I enjoyed using the Wi Fi it was fast and reliable. No problem returning for a visit

We booked a different hotel for tge Canada Day weekend, but arrived to find they'd given us a smoking room that was SO DISGUSTING! Scrambled to find another place and found the Bluewater. Needs some updating... But the owner was amazingly accommodating and friendly. The room was large and comfortable. Needed more towels but otherwise we were happy to have stumbled across this little place.
