If managed and cleaned up, this has the potential to be a great hostel

Pretty much from cleanliness, check-in process, care about the facility and the reviews, and removing people that are staying too long instead of keeping it for live ins rather than travelers. A lot of annoying drama between the live ins and just a lot of people in tough spots in their lives. Rather than the excitement of traveling, the place was more dark and dreary with a feeling of apathy and depression.

There was a tv provided in the private room

The room caused me to become unwell. I felt unsafe as a solo traveler. The place stunk of weed and smoke which traveled into my bedroom. There was no toilet paper or soap in the bathroom my first 2 nights so had to buy some for myself then keep it in my bedroom. A mouse appeared in my room on my finale morning in my bin bag which was my finale straw to get the hell out of the place. The door was damaged and I was worried that if someone pushed hard enough on the door it would in fact open right into my room. The lights in my room did not work. The bed was very squeaky and made a loud noise every time I moved an inch.

I like the common area and the rooms. The staff seemed nice.

It is genuinely in a rough area. The walls were pretty thin. Air conditioner was pretty loud.

The public rooms, kitchen, dining room table, couch, ... were quite large, lots of space, cool art on the walls, nice and colorful. When I texted the staff with a problem they always responded in a timely manner and were friendly in their messages. They hostel is in an old firehouse - cool location.

Where do I start? Got there around 11pm, quite complicated, with an app for front door and code for room, went to room...and it was completely dirty. Like, the bed sheets were used, beds unmade, dirty towels everywhere. So gross. Texted the staff on booking, thankfully they replied soon and gave me another room. Until we got the new room code we sat in a public area where everything was sticky. New room was okay, but - with our first impression being sooo gross - everything felt iffy. The room was still a little dusty, there was a rag under a chair, nails sticking out from the beds.... The bathrooms were wet and dirty, the kitchen unusable because so unclean, dust and dirt everywhere. The public spaces especially could have been really cool but since everything was dingy and dirty we didn't wanna use anything or spend time there. Again, the spaces would have been really cool if clean. Asked the staff (message on booking) if there were any cleaning supplies there that I could use. They answered that the cleaning crew was on their way to our floor...don't think they ever got there. Although like three days later the trashcan was emptied soooo... maybe they came and just didn't clean anything. Bought some disinfectant and wipes and cleaned what I had to use myself but that's not the idea of a hostel. Yeah, it was cheap, but even then I think I can expect the space to be clean. The surrounding area was a little weird too. Not too scary, like some comments said, just a little off...with strange people wandering around.

The staff on the phone were rude and unhelpful, the whole building smells of weed and it was a dodgy area, there were mice running around.

This could have been a fun place, but the lack of.care made me run for the door (literally).:/ I was warned that I needed to come with a fresh towel of my own.

Mice, Trash. Used dirty bedding. A shared glass-walled shower that you have to use your towel to block if you are want any privacy. (It's a unisex bathroom./

This is a horrible place. Dont even consider. Nothing like the pictures
