Chart House Inn

The location of this inn is perfect. Close enough to Thames Street but set back far enough for that quaint Newport experience. Charming decor and hospitality. Delightful breakfast.

We loved it all.

What a great place. The rooms are large, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was fantastic. The staff are very friendly. The Inn is a very relaxing place to stay and I would highly recommend it. It also has individual parking spaces at the rear and is only steps away from the main street. I look forward to staying there in the future.

A beautiful, historic property that has been lovingly renovated on a quaint, quiet street. The owners Nicole and Chris were so welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was outstanding! The avacadoe toast and freshly brewed coffee live rent free in my head. Great location within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the harbor. You will love this inn and your time in historuc Newport, Rhode Island.

We are seniors there were stairs no help with luggage as proprietor was not there when we left no handicap spaces no ocular in the door for safety security camera monitors the hallway where the customer rooms were. Ice machine was very tiny water was not fresh in the cubes our room was on the street which is noisy but very nice Inn

Absolutely LOVED it!! Incredible atmosphere, charming and fabulously appointed rooms with perfect location! Near shops and sites in Newport and the affiliated restaurants with the Inn were superb and had varied menus. Can't wait to return!

Best place to stay in Newport! The location was perfect. The room was so cozy and quiet. We loved everything about it and will definitely come back to stay here.

Very nice location within a walkable distance to many restaurants

We stayed at Mary Chamber room. The room is very tiny, we could barely walk in it. But main disappointment was that we had a shared bathroom with other rooms. This made us extremely uncomfortable. It would be nice to mention it in the description. There was also no room for laptop. But breakfast was very nice. We have enjoyed it. Also the location was great. We were able to walk to all main attractions and dining which made up for missing bathroom in the room. We stayed on the third floor and luckily we didn’t have heavy suitcases to carry. Because it is a historical building elevators are not present.

I am not one to write reviews. However, I decided this could be helpful to others looking to book. I came across Chart House Inn and decided to book it for my 2 children and myself for my 50th birthday. Nicole worked with us after going back and forth an was able to accommodate us with a room, Mable Norman that fit all of us. Nicole was not there to greet us when we got there, but we arrived a couple of minutes early. Since the keys were available we let ourselves in. She did arrive about 15 minutes after we got there, and was gracious and wished us well for our stay. Overall, our stay was wonderful. The Inn is every clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were extremely comfortable and the air conditioner was sufficient. Nicole was reachable for questions during our stay. I am not high maintenance, but do expect a certain level of comfort, cleanliness and customer service during any stay, anywhere and that is what we got. The location is fantastic and walkable to everything. We did not eat breakfast there because my kids are picky eater, so, I cannot vouch for the breakfast provided. I also liked the designated parking spots for each room. We will return to Chart House.
