De mooie kamer met het terras. We kenden de locatie dus wisten we dat er wel geluidsoverlast kon zijn door het drukke ronde punt.

De gezamenlijke keuken was heel klein. Het overdekte binnenterras liet te wensen over. Het was niet echt bruikbaar doordat het niet proper was en er allerlei rommel lag. WIFI was niet beschikbaar.

The location and the fact that it's a new property.

I made the reservation by mistake, misled by an unclear description on Booking.com that suggested all rooms had a private en-suite bathroom. However, in one place, it stated that the private bathroom was outside the room—a tricky play on words. It was only later, when checking the reviews on Google Maps, that I discovered many guests had been misled in the same way. A major inconvenience was having to walk across the entire property at night (a distance of about 20 meters) to get to the bathroom, which woke me up completely. The host was rude—when I requested to change to a room with an en-suite bathroom for an extra 5 euros (as per the Booking.com price), he claimed they were all occupied, even though two such rooms remained empty until the morning. An additional problem was the lack of internet, which the host blamed on bad weather, despite the fact that the internet on my phone was working perfectly at the same time. Furthermore, there was visible mold on the bathroom ceiling, and the squeaking air conditioning made it even more difficult to fall asleep. A horrible night. The worst during my stay in Portugal.

Not the fault of the establishment, but Cercal itself has very little to offer.
