Has the best views of Siquijor. Kind staff. Delicious food especially the newly baked breads

Allting var perfekt och rummet i toppklass.Gillade även personalen som var utmärkt och att man fick nybakat bröd levererat gratis till rummet på morgonen.

Dom behöver skaffa en större generator som kan användas vid strömavbrott.

Quiet location by the sea. Good food. Nice people.

Nothing to dislike

The hotel facility was exquisite. The view was really nice, overlooking the ocean, and we liked the dogs and cows around the property. I liked how complete the facilities were in the room as well, complete with fridge, kettle, TV etc. Pretty near to some tourist attractions.

Location is VERY FAR and ISOLATED from other restaurants and lively nightlife. If you stay here, you're pretty much stuck in the hotel food (expensive, cheapest in the menu 350php) and drinks (which is not complete as well, they only had 2 available cocktails!!), unless you have a motor bike (still wouldn't recommend unless you risk riding along a dark lit path after a nightout). No nearby stores either for emergency supplies either. Might be near to some tourist spots but still not worth it because most tours have San juan (this hotel is in Lazi) as the meet up spot. Lastly, this hotel is not necessarily beachfront. It's just overlooking the beachfront from a bridge. Good for pictures but you can't swim.

Restaurant facilities very poor. Items on menu not available. Coffee machine broken. Poor cocktails. Safety of path to restaurant very bad.

The Receptionist made the stay. She was helpful and went out of her way to accommodate. Burger was delicious and big. The Resort was nice except for the items mentioned in "what I didn't like".

Has backup generator but not capable of running A/C. Flood light being turned on at nightfall and directed into rooms. I would have enjoyed sitting on the porch and seeing the stars before retiring for the evening instead of being bombarded with blinding light. I understand lighting needs but light only what is needed. A comfortable small couch and coffee table on the porch were the finishing touches that were missing. Breakfast was under cooked. Coffee was weak and not brewed. Coffee maker in each room advertised but charges extra ₱70 per k-cups. Really?

Siquijor is wonderful - highly recommend. We arrived at Gabayan Riviera late at night, so it was a lovely surprise to wake up to such a beautiful view of the pool and the sea. The room was clean, staff are really friendly and helpful. We hired a mini-jeep/van for two days via the hotel, to take us around the island. The location of the hotel is quite far away from the main bit where all the restaurants and bars are, which we didn't mind too much. The hotel has a restaurant with decent food options. Lovely breakfast view. The pool was clean and we really enjoyed relaxing here at the end of the day.

The staff at the restaurant could've been more attentive / friendly but that's minor. Fresh mango juice/shake for breakfast preferred instead of powdered juice, but you can't ask for too much being on a tiny island!
