Herring Run Motel and Cabins

Made reservations 8 months in advance for my son’s Mass Maritime graduation. Showed up to check in and the property was closed, rooms were being gutted and parking lot was full of construction dumpsters.

A very sweet motel. The rooms were in good condition and the staff was very approachable and accommodating.

Listening to the running water to fall asleep

It was a good experience. Underneath the bed was very dirty and when I lifted up the sheets there was some debris as if someone had slept in it with their shoes on and they never changed the sheets. It was minimal but you shouldn’t see that. Staff was very friendly. It was easy and convenient. Would probably not stay again because it was dirty in the room.

To say the cabins are rustic is an understatement. You have to walk through dirt, mud and grass to get to the door, then there is mat inside to keep you from tracking water and dirt around. Hot water heater didn’t work, owner tried to fix and the water only got marginally warm. They did offer to move us or allow us to use the shower in another room. Either standards need to come up or price down.

Very small rundown cabin. Peeling paint, dirty interior. I had no hot water and toilet over-flowing.

Very nice motel, clean and comfortable at a good Price, Robina is the hostess and a charming woman, friendly and professional. I highly recommend the Herring Run.
