Casa Felicidade

Casa Felicidade was clean and the service was kind. Communication was good, as was the process of being received and given keys.

I was surprised that we needed to leave a 50€ cash deposit upon arrival, though supposedly it was in the information we were to receive. Our complaint is that the bed was horrendous. I don't mind a firm mattress however this was like lying on a wooden plank. Neither of us slept well and woke up hurting. Mid-afternoon, my husband took a 15 min nap and woke up so full of back pain that we ended up checking out a returning home a day early. There was no way we could tolerate another night on that bed. I don't know if all rooms/beds are the same. If the bed was different it would have been fine.

Really comfortable room. She made us the room every day! Shared bathroom very clean always. With a car is great to visit different beaches as it’s very practical to jump into the highway.

Location is not great if you are not driving. To locate the place type “Casa Felicidade “ in google maps. Don’t follow booking address as it’s wrong.

Very relaxing environment and the host is wonderful!

Do not stay here. Upon arrival, we first were waiting outside for 30 mins waiting for instruction on how to get into the building when I finally received a message to come in. We then went into what we thought was supposed to be a private access room, which it was not. It was a room inside someone’s residence that had a lockable door and a private bathroom. It seemed off right from when we checked in, not to mention when we initially googled the location it showed up as another “Casa Falicidade” that is right on a beach. Interesting that the first photo of this posting is a staircase leading to a beach. We decided to set all of this aside so that we could get a good nights rest on the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. Upon waking up my partners arm was itching which we didn’t think much of at the time of checkout. After we left, about an hour later the itching continued and upon investigation we realized these were bed bug bites. Unfortunately we were out of cell reception at this time but I contacted the host to let them know as soon as I was able to. I was then called a liar and was told that there’s no way this happened on their premises since we didn’t tell her first thing in the morning or leave a complaint in her book. I tried my best to stay calm and tell her that if we had known upon checkout that she would have heard from us immediately. She was not understanding at all and did not seem to give any care that she may have bed bugs. Don’t stay here!

Very friendly host and clean facilities (Bedroom and bathroom). Felicidade was very nice with us and very proactive. The room was cleaned every day and she provided sweets and treats for her guests.

As per the room description, the host lives on the property so privacy could be an issue for some people. Hot air machine was a bit noisy and we didn't manage to get the right temperature (Possibly our own incompetence with technology)

I had a great stay! The room was very clean and tye reception was excellent!
