Druggies and crazy people here. The staff was friendly. The place is ran down. The beds are surprisingly comfortable. The hot water takes about 10 minutes to get warm if you're far from the boiler

Difficulty checking in due to a transmission failure of my reservation from hotels.com to the hotel. Manager would not let me sit in lobby while sorting the issue out. Stood outside for over an hour in 45 degree temperature to complete a process that normally takes 5 minutes. I do not blame Royal Motel for the initial problem, but if a customer is cold and has an itinerary number and proof of payment on hand— have a heart and let them get out of the cold while your IT issue is solved. It was 5pm..a bit early to only use the night window for check-in.

This hotel was good. Was close too everything.

There were no washclothes, room was suppose to have tub and shower, it was just a shower, there was a long black hair on the toilet near the lid hinge, and another in the shower. No coffee in room, no coffee in lobby, lobby was locked. No breakfast, heater sounded like an airplane starting up every time it came on. Room smelled like smoke, and not just a little- like a life long smoker lived there. My bag i sat on the chair smells like smoke after sitting there overnight, I booked for two nights, but left after the first. No ice bucket, no water cups, no vending machines on site. I took my chances and slept in my car the second night.
