the service Marie provided was outstanding from check in to check out. I will be defiantly recommending and staying here again. Customer service was one of the best I've had at a Uk hotel.

Have previously stayed at this hotel twice with no issues. However, this time was different! Very poor checkin process, only 1 staff member onsite who made us wait outside til someone else called her and told her we were waiting outside in the cold to checkin. Had to call various numbers to get through to reception. The receptionist also tried to collate data from guests for no other reason than marketing and became defensive when challenged. Final straw was they deducted £150 alleging room had been smoked in when it wasn't and did not even notify me that that a charge of £150 was being made! No evidence provided of room being smoked in! The fact someone was smoking cannabis in room next door didn't bother them! Still awaiting a refund.....

Maria - front of house was excellent.

Room on ground floor was dark. I needed to work so I was given a lamp to make the room lighter.
