Ivy Hotel Emerald

Bed was comfortable. Room was decent. Breakfast was great.

On 10/5/2026. On arrival to the hotel on a 2nd booking, the receptionist was speaking an unknown dialect in my presence. When I asked her to speak English language, she became infuriated and told me that she was not speaking to me. Dinner was not that great. Egusi soup I had was sandy and I got fed up reporting it. On 11/5/2026. I completed an online review. The manager on duty the day knocked on my day and when I answered the door, he queried why I made the review. I told him that I was honest based on the complaints and no remedy. He continued to query my reason on why I made the online review, I told him that I did not wish to continue with the conversation, as I proceeded to shut my door, he tried to force himself on the door by pushing the door towards me so as to continue to query my online review comments. I was scared that he was going to hit me so I had to push and shut the door with all my strength on him.

Their bed was very comfortable. Room was clean. Bathroom was decent.

Shower pressure was appalling. Room was very stuffy. My family member reported same issues to me because, I booked the room for father and son. Reported same issue my first stay, hotel promised to look into it and make changes, and this 2nd time no sign of any remedy to my complaints and concern noted.

My stay was excellent. This is my third time staying here, and I’m pleased to note that the standards have not only been maintained but have even improved. The only minor drawback is the absence of an elevator. However, this is hardly an issue, as the staff are always readily available to assist with carrying luggage upstairs. Given that the building is just one floor, it remains quite convenient overall. A special shout-out to Debbie, who is consistently warm and delightful. She truly lights up the place and, for me, represents the face of the hotel. The breakfast was also very good, and the hotel’s close proximity to the airport adds greatly to its appeal. Please keep up the excellent standards—this level of quality and service is truly commendable.
