Ocean Cottage - Walk to Beach Countryside Views

The house was ok but not as clean as expected

The oven was so dirty I couldn’t use it.The garden was had weeds everywhere not what I expected.

Near enough to walk to town centre which we enjoyed doing

Smelt of damp when entering cottage and drains in kitchen smelt bad had to open front and back doors to get rid of smell. Further noticed towels smelt of damp and were hard had to use our swimming towels we bought. Washed towels with soap powder we had to buy and they still were hard to dry yourself. Having a for sale sign up was of putting and the house didn’t look like the pictures on line. The outside furniture were old and tatty

We had a lovely family stay at the Ocean Cottage. The place has everything you need, is small but well laid out and was perfect for the 6 of us. It is only a short walk (approx 15mins) downhill to the beach, its uphill a bit on the way back but its fine if you are of average fitness. The hosts were excellent communicators beforehand so we knew exactly what to do. There is easy parking outside the cottage and nice little garden area out back with a nice view. We enjoyed out stay and would happily recommend to other families.

Only things that stopped it getting a 10/10 were little niggles. The lock on the bathroom door was broken, this is an easy repair. The hoover really smelt of dogs, so whenever we hoovered up it left a nasty smell in the house. Maybe put some air fresheners in the hoover. The wifi was a bit patchy, not really good enough to stream any video, was in an out sometimes ok sometime not. Not that bothered as we were on holiday but may bother some people.

Great location, comfortable home with well equipped kitchen.

The internet TV was a bit temperamental

Beautiful cottage which was very well equipped with lovely views from the back of the cottage. It is in easy walking distance of the village with small cafes and bars but a steep walk back up so we used the bus or the local taxis . There is 2 small supermarkets as well.

We could not find the key safe as the instructions did not match the location so had to ring the office to find it. The driveway is narrow so it only just fitted a family sized car but it is possible to park outside,

Loved the cottage and decoration, location great

Mattress in one room needs replacing, springs poking through and pillows could've been better, also an iron would be great, I couldn't find one
