"A delightful little house"

9.0

Quality and thoughtful amenities. A very well-designed tiny home, with a well-equipped kitchenette. The tasteful decor, the well-kept condition of the accommodation. The absolutely gorgeous sunrise view; the starry dark sky. Very responsive host.

Not deal breakers, but: the air conditioning was not adequate for a hot afternoon, it’s next to a road with heavy vehicles passing during the night, there are ants nests along the path inside the gate. You do need to bring your own supplies as there are no shops or eating places in Lochiel. The lake was regrettably not pink when we visited, but the night sky and sunrise made up for it!

"We had an awesome weekend using the tiny house to celebrate my wife’s birthday,"

10.0

Although it looked small it was a perfect size for 2 people, very bright with lots of windows using the fire pit and being able to see the stars was a great bonus

One of the bathroom sliding doors needing adjustment so it doesn’t slide open, not a big deal just annoying at night

Cute and something different.. Great place for a short stay. Only dislike would be that the air conditioner be in the bedroom, as it gets very hot in the afternoon and takes a long time to cool down

"Great visit, excellent location. A couple of days was great for family of four."

8.0

The location was great. Loved having a Nespesso coffee machine and quality fixtures and appliances. It was nice to have some basic kitchen supplies (salt, pepper, oil, alfoil etc).

The projector battery was missing (likely taken accidently by previous guest, so we ran out of charge to watch). We struggled a bit with the drop toilet in the middle of the house. Fine for a few days. Flyscreen door would have been helpful to allow more air minus mosquitos.

The tiny house was lovely and in close proximity to Lake Bumbunga. It was beautifully furnished and well resourced.

Unfortunately there were loud trucks driving past all night. Not much sleep for an 8 hr drive the next day.

"cute accomodation in a good location"

7.0

great location with an amazing view of the lake - it wasn’t very pink though compared to the instagram pictures! Clean and comfortable accomodation.

I thought the price was quite expensive for essentially ‘caravan style’ accomodation with the composting toilet etc given that you had road trains driving past all night. it was very noisy and not worth $270 per night. otherwise was a great stay.

"Excellent eco-friendly accommodation with superb views of instagramable Lake Bumbunga and with every box ticked one can"

9.0

Peony is superbly appointed, clean, has a comfortable bed and boasts an excellent view of Lake Bumbunga. The surrounding gardens and landscaping was very neat and tidy, adding to the overall feel of this property. Sometimes we associate eco friendly with compromise, but in this instance our eco-friendly stay was comfortable. The shower is excellent and the eco-toilet is spotless, well ventilated and has no smell at all. This totally changed our perception of eco toilets. It is a great base to explore both the Yorke Peninsula and Clare.

Although it didn’t bother us and we slept well, the property is situated on the main road and therefor subject to the noise and vibration of passing trucks. Peony has double glazed windows and is well insulated which helps to reduce the noise significantly but don’t expect perfect serenity. We approached this noise as waves passing over us or gentle rolling thunder and soon became accustomed to it. The traffic seemed busier on Friday night and much less frequent on Saturday.
