Relax Inn

Well I was there for two weeks. Thought that I was getting ate up by all the bugs there. Well on my last night there I got up and threw back Thee sheets because I felt something crawling on me! BED BUGS!!!!! I have been getting bite by these nasty things in my bed! Threw all of my laundry in a dumpster when I got back to my hometown because I don’t want those nasty things in my house!

I was informed the Motel was under new management, they are attempting to remodel the current condition is extremely run down and filthy in need of demolition and rebuilding from the ground up. I think the new owners are in over their heads considering the condition of this place…

The management was nice and very kind. They help us in a bad situation and allowed are dog.

The beds were comfortable, no smell I'm the room, staff were friendly. For the price it was a good room. Didn't think it would be from the way the building looked. We just needed to crash a few hours.

We stayed here as part of our Big 2016 Road Trip. The rooms are older - clean, but not recently remodeled. No problems with linens or towels. Door was occasionally uncooperative. Very convenient - only a few steps to shops and restaurants of downtown Lucedale. The most notable positive part of the stay: the hotel manager was extraordinarily helpful - helping my wife into the room, carrying luggage, and holding an umbrella when a surprise thunderstorm hit. Don't see that in many places. If we're back in Lucedale, we'd stay again.

My first impression of this older-style motel wasn't that good but I was moderately surprised when I opened up the door to my room. The room was pretty clean. Cinder block walls. Furniture in good upkeep. Bedding and linen okay. Older style television. Very strong wifi signal. Slight security problems: No security chain and missing smoke detector. Breakfast not provided.

Do not stay here unless your personal hygiene is something your willing to sacrifice. Bed linens are stained as well as the sheets and pillow cases. Blood stains, bodily fluids and fecal matter are obvious without a blacklight to illuminate them. I was personally told by the owner that the sheets and room are cleaned every two days, I can only assume that meant the room may have been rented to someone else the previous night and not cleaned. When I physically showed him the reasons my wife and I were not staying, he told me "You Go" and then charged my debit card the 60.00 dollars for the night anyway. My wife and I were half way to our car when we realized that we had not returned the key to them. We walked back up stairs to give them the key and found them readjusting the bed linens for the next poor soul. The owner can in my opinion be no more clean than his rooms and I give only one circle because that's the lowest allowable. We have family in this nice little town and its unfortunate that this kind of an establishment could be surviving. And yes, I do plan on calling the owner and letting him know that he should locate his site and my truthful and honest comments, I figure he screwed me out of 60 dollars, I'll screw him out of whatever I save others.
