Cozy Cove Chapel

Perfect location for a sailing event at the WPNSA. A bit of road noise as described in other reviews, but nothing that caused any major problems. Fantastic to have a parking place as this is definitely a limited resource on Portland. Would recommend the Cove Inn House for a drink, but book in advance for food as they are very popular. Would definitely book this property again.

Thought the welcome pack would be a pint of milk and some tea bags not just information about locality! The third bedroom wasn't fit for purpose neither was the additional toilet - couldn't stand up in either because they were in the loft, had to back into the toilet and there was no lock on the door. Third bedroom had no light switch and I had to crawl into it on all fours. The kitchen tap flooded the place, we mended it best we could. The sofa was dirty, couldn't bring ourselves to sit on it. Only thing going for this accommodation was the location.

Nothing dislike really. Could have done with a few more basics like loo roll and washing up liquid but really nothing major.

The location was great, right on Chesil Beach and only a short drive from Weymouth beach. There is plenty of things to do nearby to entertain the children and I enjoyed lovely coastal walks in peace before the kids woke in the morning. Cozy Cove Chapel is absolutely lovely, a real home from home. My little boy was especially thrilled to stay in the car bed. It had all the facilities needed for a family of five and made for a lovely relaxing week. It was also great value for money. Communication with the owner was quick and easy. Both helpful and accommodating!

Great location for Chesil beach. Main floor airy and open. Parking space.

Upstairs bedrooms not great. Double room had squeaky bedframe every time you turned caused broken sleep. Single room for child very low ceiling and light switch outside room and no bedside light not ideal for children. Also no window making it feel very claustrophobic. Upstairs toilet not head height so to use you have to back in and no handle on inside. Kitchen equipment very random and for a “luxury “ apartment 4 company mugs did not give that impression. No welcome pack. Bin in kitchen was dirty and needed cleaning and the vacuum was left absolutely full and the head clogged with hair which we cleaned to use. Not enough comfortable seating for anymore than 3 people the rest have to sit at the dining table, and considering it is advertised as up to six people only 4 dining chairs. Overall not terrible but it’s really somewhere for a couple to use comfortably.

Lovely location and a few shops nearby. A local Co-op stays open until 11pm. Its a big stone beach and not sand so wear better shoes. The sunsets are amazing and some of the best I have ever seen when walking along the beach. Its a lovely walk late at night to watch the sunset.

There is no sea view. Upstair bedroom shows the sea slightly as most of it is covered by a flood barrier wall.

Lovely accommodation, right next to Chesil Beach which was great as we were there for a fishing trip. Very clean property with everything you need. Parking space right outside very handy.

Location and the place itself

The bin was dirty and sticky on the lid ,and the oven could have done with a wipe inside with crumbs and food from the last person to use it.
