This ground floor apartment is well located, just a short walk from shops and restaurants. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of pans, dishes and a Dolce Gusto coffee maker. Cabanas is lovely, with a great selection of restaurants and a few bars. Either use the ferry to get to the beach or head over to Pedras del Rei where you can catch the train or walk across. Both beaches are fantastic.

I am going to be critical in the hope that it elicits a change. The booking process is a nightmare with information coming from multiple sources - booking.com, homing.com.pt, WhatsApp and email - resulting in poor communication (24 hours to respond) . Much of the information we were given was wrong - the location pin for the appartment is 200m from where it actually is which made finding it late at night after a delayed flight difficult - it's actually on R. Pedro Nunes. WiFi password provided was incorrect and both televisions did not work. There is no welcome pack explaining how things work. There were 7 remotes in the apartment, but only one appeared to work (for the two AC units). Underground parking is available if you can figure out how to open the door and which is your space. We never did, but were able to park on the street. The apartment came with bed linen, two sets of towels, soap, shampoo and two small toilet rolls. You will need to supply washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, dishcloths and extra toilet rolls. There is a patio, but no furniture for it so you have to take the dining room furniture out and sit bolt upright rather than relaxing if you want to use it. The sofa converts into a large bed if needed. Bathroom has toilet, bidet and bath with shower over. Unlike other places that we have stayed at locally, there is no beach equipment provided eg windbreak, umbrella or cooler.

The property is nicely decorated and spacious. It is fully equipped with everything needed. Close to restaurants on a quiet street. Excellent stay!

It was a bit difficult to reach the agency that rents the house. Had to call a few times because the street name wasn’t listed in the instructions. Was finally able to reach them and they were very friendly.

The apartment was a very good size with more than adequate facilities. It is in easy walking distance of the waterfront and lots of good restaurants.

The apartment was quite cold, but it was the end of February. Fortunately they have air-conditioning which doubled up as a heater. However, it would have been better if they had allocated us an upstairs apartment with a sunny balcony. There appeared to be plenty of these available. We also had trouble with the WiFi which was intermittent and slow at times, and which denied us access to basic sites (like local tourist attractions) at various times. We reported it on the first day, but it was not rectified by the time we left 10 days later.
