That it was big enough to house all 9 of us. It was well equipped and the bbq option was great!

The house is old so the doors are creaky, the doorknobs were broken. Doors tended to slam a lot

Location in the old town. Huge house, so it was great for everyone to spread out. Host was super responsive. Kitchen was well equipped. Liked having outdoor spaces.

Getting a bit dated and worn down. Issues w some leaking in the skylights. No central heating and the weather was unseasonably cold, so we had to bundle up. Wifi was not great to support remote working.

Spacious, good garage with room for 2 cars and bicycles, well equipped kitchen. The location was excellent. It's inside the walls of the old town with cafes, restaurants & places of interest on the doorstep. It's a short walk to the beach, Praia da Batata with safe swimming and to a supermarket. It's ideal if you're looking for a reasonably priced large house in the town and, like us, want to avoid the 'villa with a pool' experience.

It was very cold in January with inadequate heating for that time of year. This, together with a lot of tiled walls & floors resulted in considerable condensation in the kitchen, halls & stairs. I'm sure this wouldn't be a problem in the warmer months. The kitchen table was only big enough for 6 people so a larger party would need to eat in the dining room which was down a few steps & across the hall.

We were impressed how beautiful the place was.

There was no breakfast included. Restaurants near by, though.

Some doors were very tight and noisy to open/shut as they rubbed against the floor. 2 of the bidets did not work properly and the bathroom doors were not lockable.

We loved the location, it was so central to the town (clubs, restaurants etc) and very close to all of the beaches! They were no more than a 15 min walk. It was also much bigger than it looked - the pictures do it a disservice. It was very pretty and authentic with the portuguese tiles. The balcony and the outside area were perfect to eat outside. Great value for money and perfect for a girls trip.

The mattresses weren’t the most comfortable and some of the lights did not work at all. One of the showers also didn’t work. Though it was pretty clean there were some items left from the previous stay (a bride to be banner, someone’s pants) and also a cockroach. These didn’t take away from our stay but I think these issues could easily be solved.
