excellent breakfast and staff

A/C was not working and could not get it fixed.

The fax that they couldn't fix the A/C.

The breakfast was very good and based on local ingredients. A more central location in Kampala is hard to find. There is a lot going on around the hotel, which provides a perfect metropolitan pulse. The staff is committed and you receive a personal treatment. You can always turn to them if you have any questions, and in case of any problems, they are committed to a quick solution. The room was comfortable, spacious and clean. I have stayed at Viktoria Mews twice. It is an obvious choice for me for future trips.

Possibly Victoria Mews is not the first choice for those who want a quiet environment.

I liked the hotel overall, the staff was nice, it was clean. The location was in the middle of very busy and crowded street. As a foreigner, I wanted to experince that.

Maybe, the internet connection could have been a little bit better

The breakfast is very bad (in terms of quality and variety of food). We had to order the breakfast from the menu and pay for it because we didnt want to leave the hotel hungry. In the hotel restaurant, the waitresses dont know the menu. We ordered some pasta and 10 minutes later the waiter told us that it was not available. The next day we ordered omlettes as per the menu but got them in totally different way then described in the menu. During check-in, we told the receptionist that we had very noisy room two days earlier and we asked for a room without windows facing the street. We even agreed to get lower standard room just to be able to sleep at night. What receptionist did was giving us the same room that we had previously but one floor lower, so it was even more noisy…

The hotel offered us the breakfast at 5:30 because we were going on a safari at 6:00. When we went there at 5:30, the receptionist told us that there is no one to prepare the food for us and the chef would be coming in half an hour so all in all we had to go the safari hungry. Also, the rooms are super noisy because the windows dont block any of the sound from the streets

The hotel was clean and friendly staff

The location is bad. Had difficulties to have taxis drop me to the hotel from my meeting venue.

We liked the way we were treated by everyone especially the receptionist Becky who was attentive to our needs. Rooms are a little small but have everything you need. The hotel is right across the street from Levy Mall so that's a big Plus.

While the location is chaotic and busy the actual hotel was surprisingly good. Very nice and clean rooms to really affordable prices, The food at the hotel restaurant was really good and the staff was amazing. The only issue is to get a taxi driver to want to drive downtown where the hotel is due to the busy traffic around the area. But highly recommend this hotel as it is really good value for the money.
