Seymour Lake Lodge

Our experience at Seymour Lake Lodge started with an upgrade for free. The property manager was very friendly and understood our struggle of working in the woods on our new property. That may seem trivial but he explained things quickly and left us to our hot showers and an immediate nap. The property has rustic charm. You can light a fire out back or just sit on your private porch and watch the sun go down with the beautiful view of the lake. Dining is about 11 minutes up the road, so all in all, this was the perfect stay.

Interesting experience for those who do not know much about the 'old' US. Very friendly host.

My husband and I just completed our 4th visit to Seymour Lake Lodge in Morgan Vt. We stayed for the entire month of July 2022. Our experience this time was exactly like the other three…OUTSTANDING ! Beginning with easy, organized and efficient check in with JP (owner). Our apartment was ready for us, very clean and had everything we needed to start our vacation. The view of Seymour Lake is outstanding. My husband could easily access the lake for fishing, the town beach is a short walk away and the gardens on the premises are not only beautiful but also very calming. The front porch is the perfect place to read or at night listen to the loons with a glass of wine. Ed, the on site manager is always available to answer questions or handle any problems-which we had NONE the entire month. If I have painted a perfect vacation spot to step back, relax and reconnect then I have accomplished my goal in writing this review. If I could give Seymour Lake Lodge more STARS I would. I went to this place as a 15 year old and recently stayed in the carriage house for 3 nights. The innkeeper is friendly and helpful. The carriage house is rustic but adequate. I've paid double for similiar accomodations. There was a small refrig., micro, 2 stove burners, small tv but no network service and streamng movies was impossible due to poor internet. Best to take some form of entertainment with you. Kayaks and canoes are free with your room. There is a very nice view of the lake and the beach is directly across the street. Two miles up the road there is a post office, country store,gas station and restaurant all rolled into one. There are also many scenic drives (Holland Pond Rd.) and many beautiful lakes. This is a very good place to stay.

This lodge is amazing. The staff was very friendly. The carriage house was fun to stay in. The grounds are kept beautifully. I would recommend this place! As you can see the views are spectacular. We had a wonderful visit.

We stayed in the Seymour Lake Logde carriage house. It was awesome. Very clean and friendly. Beautiful flower gardens. The lake was directly across the street. Lower carriage house has easy access for guests that can't do stairs

We came for a few days of R&R, and so glad we did! JP and Uncle Al were just so accommodating, friendly and enjoyable to talk to. I enjoy learning about the history of the Lodge from both of them, very interesting. JP gave me a tour of the Lodge, the rooms were very nice and clean and the room with the balcony probably had the best views, maybe next time. We stayed in the Carriage House, bottom floor, and what a great view of the lake, clean and comfortable, but I did go over to the Lodge in the morning for a chat and coffee. Thank you JP & Uncle Al for a wonderful stay.

Very nice, clean home located on shores of quiet Seymour Lake in Morgan,VT. Kayaks, canoe, rowboat, 2 person peddle boat and sailboat are available for use. My wife and I peddled about 2/3rds across the lake, great exercise in beautiful weather admiring the view as we went. Our granddaughter had lessons from the home owner on the sailboat and went solo as the wind increased, she loved it! Kenni was very nice to give our Granddaughter that experience! There was plenty of room for the 11 family members during our 2 night stay. Very comfortable and highly recommend to anyone looking at the area. Stop by Morgan General Store / Post Office about 2 miles from the home.

Visiting family locally and they recommended. Family feel, warm, slept well. Proprietors were welcoming and knowledgable. If rustic and homey is what you like then this is the place. Felt at home!, clean all around. Bedroom too!

Great place to stay. Wonderful views great family run business very friendly, clean rooms and beautiful gardens. The owner and his family make you feel right at home. You can go kayaking or swimming in the summer. Try it out.
