Host JP is a true Northeast Kingdom character and his in is, as he'll tell you,"Just like Grandma's house only Grandma isn't home"! The Inn is chockablock with curated antiques of which you'll wish you owned at least three. JP welcomes guests to store food in the fridge, cook and share meals and make their own outdoor fires in a large fire pit. He is almost instantly available should you need his help day or night. And the lake! The Wisconsin Ice carved Seymore, Willoughby, Island Pond, Crystal and Salem lakes giving this area deep clean cold water, loons, eagles, amazing open water distance swims and extraordinary beauty.

"Kingdom gem"

JP Hale is a true Northeast Kingdom character who runs his inn like, as he'll say, "Like Grandma's house but Grandma isn't home!" JP makes a strong pot if coffee, tells great stories, and provides sweet snacks and quick service, day & night, for any needs that arise and require his help. Doggies welcome!

"Such a lovely place and JP is the best! "

It was amazing. JP the owner is so amazing. He made my husband and I feel at home and is very kind hearted. The lakeview at Lake Seymour is so beautiful. You have the entire lake to yourself. It’s peaceful and quiet. We miss it already. Have your coffee on the front porch in the morning or hop in your car and head into Canada. We are definitely going back! We rented one of the apartments that was in the house which gave us lots of privacy and we also mingled with other guests in the common room or sat in the parlor with the books and antiques. We love the people of Vermont and the people of Canada! 🍁

"Trip through the Northern Kingdom"

Fantastic location across the road from Seymour Lake with a very friendly and obliging host who helped us with the property’s kayaks. And a lovely patio to sit on and enjoy the view. The continental breakfast offerings are heavy on sugar…if you are not a fan of Fruit Loops, you’re out of luck.

Beautiful B&B in such a beautiful part of Vermont. Our trip was only one night unfortunately, but will definitely be back for a longer stay!

A very enjoyable stay. We especially like sitting on the porch swing overlooking the Lake. It was also a blessing to use the refridgerator, re-freeze our ice-packs, and use the kitchen to make dinners.
