we had a lovely stay at the Mövenpick Resort. We experienced a calm resort with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the sun. Special thanks to the entire staff and Mr. Kevin who took care of us in the restaurant. See you next time!

After the vibrancy of Saigon we headed to the coast and the Mövenpick Resort Phan Thiet for 3 days of R&R. 

 The property is striking both inside and out. You can’t miss the turreted red property from miles away. It has a magical Hogwart’s look, especially at night. 

The public rooms have a terrific traveller inspired decor with themes of globes, transport and exploration. The check-in desks made of trunks and cases added to the aesthetic, which we really liked. 

 The welcome was warm and swift and Lap took great care of us, from the moment we arrived. Checking us in and escorting us to our suite, he even thoughtfully found me some lotion to take care of my Mosquito bites. Throughout he was engaging and always happy to help. Thank You very much Lap! 

 We had booked the Admiral’s suite and it looks exactly like it does on the Accor site, again with the traveller themes beautifully executed throughout. It was all perfectly done. Upon entry there is a guest WC and then into the wonderful sitting room. A tray of welcome goodies and fresh flowers greeted us on the table.

The colonial look of rattan furniture, ceiling fans and wooden floors were very much our taste and the sofa and seating a great place to lounge. Off the sitting room was a large balcony with tables and chairs, overlooking the pool and pirate ship - yep a full scale pirate ship! We even watched a pirate performance from our perch here one day, which started unexpectedly, complete with cannons firing and Pirates Of the Caribbean soundtrack! 

Off the wardrobe corridor was a huge bathroom, complete with wonderful soaking tub, and a view to the nearby attractions and beyond. The adventurer theming even continues here. 

The bedroom is in the suite’s turret and there are floor-to-ceiling windows all round which give an incredible view out to sea and the lush gardens and pool. The bed was so comfy and hard to leave.

 With the suite (and also being Platinum members) we had access to the Admiral’s Executive Club, where we could enjoy breakfast, afternoon tea and sundowner cocktails. 

It was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the views from the balconies with a drink; tea during the day and G&T at night! 

 As throughout the property the staff, in the lounge were kind, friendly and always keen to assist. 

Even if you don’t have The Executive Lounge access everyone can enjoy the chocolate hour, well it is a Swiss brand after all. My partner greatly enjoyed this and even though I am no chocolate fan I did enjoy the cotton candy, gummy bears and ice-cream; well I was on vacation! 

 As mentioned earlier the spectacular pirate ship (the Queen Anne's Revenge) sits squarely in the middle of the main pool, though there’s another large infinity pool to enjoy a serious swim and lots of little grottos for a fun splash. You can go inside the ship and explore the upper decks and rooms. A romantic meal can be booked on the ship too! The whole pool areas and grounds are beautifully planted and kept immaculate. 

Our only regret was we didn’t stay for a week, and I am not really one for lounging by a pool, it was just such a fantastic place. 

 This resort is absolutely one we will return to again, and hopefully soon.

Personalet var enestående. Utrolig service og hjælpsomhed. De specielle middage, som privat grillaften eller servering på skibet, var fantastiske og maden udover al forventning. Loungen var et roligt og skønt område, hvor man hver gang blev mødt af opmærksomme værter/værtinder der gjorde sit yderste for at gøre det bekvemt og behageligt for dig. Poolområdet var rent, og hyggeligt for alle aldre, med piratskibet som en vidunderlig kulisse i midten. Der var en gratis bus der kunne fragte dig rundt til alle NovaWorlds forlystelser lige ved døren. Så der var altid noget man kunne bruge tiden på. Vil hjerteligt anbefale et ophold, og ønsker selv at vende tilbage.
