Mandrem Beach Resort, a member of Radisson Individuals Retreat

The staff was the best part! Of course the resort itself is lovely- with their swimming pool, beautiful gardens, the river behind, the beach at a minute's distance and so on. However, it was the staff that made it. Zeenal- the chef was warm and welcoming. She offered us new and tasty local snacks that we fell in love with. Mahesh kept our rooms immaculately clean even day. Puja and the other waiting staff were prompt and helpful. The reception staff - Anjali and Kashmira were warm and friendly. They even gave us an upgrade which was a complete surprise and a delight!

If I was to nit-pick then only one minor thing- (only because I am a massive nature lover) the garden plants need to be planted with more thought to local wildlife- so food plants for butterflies, more indigenous species like Supari, Fish tail palm instead of fancy exotic palms.

Proximity to the beach and the river view

Great location with fast and easy beach access. Exceptionally friendly and efficient staff in all areas. Front desk check-in was very helpful and efficient (thank you Foneha & Sitaram for exceptional service) Room upgrade to suite was excellent. Breakfast was very good with excellent choice of very tasty freshly prepared dosas. Waiting staff were very, very good (Puja, thank you for your excellent service). Very nice clean pool with shaded loungers if required (Ajay at the pool, very helpful, thank you).

The staff were lovely and very attentive, especially the young ladies at breakfast and the front desk. The pool is gorgeous and very well maintained by the pool staff. The location is great because you have access to the beach and shopping, but it's quiet and secluded.

We didn't like that the staff seemed to use the ballroom above us at night and scrape their chairs around at 2 am in the morning, waking us up. We did complain and it was better, but they still continued to hang out there in the wee hours. Also, the bed mattress was a bit soft for me, so my back hurt a bit. But I do like a firm bed. The pillows were great, though.

Very well kept property with a polite and courteous staff team. Location was also right on the Mandrem beach which was also clean with soft white sands and clean water. Check-jn, check-out was smooth. River view rooms were big, clean and because the resort is far from the road it was a peaceful.

Though location was nice but there should be road signs showing directions as the resort is at the end of a market road where you have to leave your car to valet and walk 20-30 mtrs. Indoors sports/activities should be functional.

Príliš malá izba, postel bola mäkká, ale to sa vyriešilo po mojom opýtaní sa.
