Zarautz Surf House

Die Mehrbettzimmer waren gut. Die einzelnen Schlafbereiche waren durch einen Vorhang trennbar.

Die Sanitäreinrichtung waren leider sehr schmutzig. Die Küche war klein und auch der Kühlschrank hatte wenig Platz.

I loved that hostel in Zarautz. In the end I stayed much longer than originally planned. The first room I stayed (8 bed dorm) was very spacious and bright. You've got lockers underneath your bed to leave the luggage (enough space for a backpack), there was a table and chairs by the window. The atmosphere in the hostel felt very family like. It was easy to get in touch with the other travelers also for the good common spaces. There is a small kitchen and a table, some sofas and a huge yoga / hanging out space (which I loved). The hostel is really close to the beach (1min) and is very well thought trough - so for surfing you got some showers in the basement, changing rooms and lockers to leave your stuff. It was also very handy to have all the surfing equipment right there to rent and the surfing spot outside the door. Restaurants and supermarkets are all within walking distance. In the bed you find a socket to charge the phone, a light and space to put your stuff (phone, book etc.) And there are curtains!

The second room I stayed in (4 bed dorm) was very small and the air was quite stale. Also there the air con didn't work properly and was a bit noisy. You cannot open the window by yourself, but the staff is happy to help out with that. I missed some space to hang my towel in the room, also to hang my clothes in the shower and to hang my toiletries bag in the bathroom.

Einfach alles Top! Tolle Lage, Austattung, tolle Zimmer und tolle Mitarbeiter. Wir haben uns so wohl gefühlt. Das Personal war so freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man konnte sich egal welches Surfbrett für egal wie lange ausleihen. Wenn man nicht wusste was man braucht zum surfen, wurde einem direkt geholfen. Das Meer ist direkt vor der Tür. Alles ist sauber und die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet. Wir kommen wieder !
