"Great!"

9.0

Location and view, fantastic space inside for family holiday

A few small repairs around the house needed to be done - Boiler door off, outside kitchen door handle broken, mirror frame in main bedroom broken, fridge door shelf broken, chair broken in childrens bedroom (a bit dangerous), downstairs toilet had been previously broken and mended badly!! (did not look great). Bed in main bedroom beautiful, but far too high! Almost impossible to get in to!! Going to Loo in middle of the night a nightmare!!

"Good but attention to some details disappointing"

7.0

Location great Plenty of space

Lack of crockery - totally inadequate for five people - needs more china bowls and dinner plates, and also water glasses Garden unloved - and garden furniture rusty/dirty - not a nice place to sit generally or to eat outside Main bedroom top mattress - when one person moved even a tiny bit it jolted a lot - very disturbed sleep. Might be something to do with it being put on top of another mattress - seems ridiculous Towels were SO small! Kitchen table needs good scrub as very sticky It wouldn’t cost very much to sort out all the above and these things would have made a definite difference. Hence value for money not that great - is lot more expensive than other nearby places

"Lovely location but could be better VFM given access anc other issues"

6.0

The location close to beaches and walks in Gower is stunning and the accommodation was clean and comfortable.

I was greatly irritated by automated contacts from Booking .Com and their failure to respond to my request for sn additional day until I contacted Joe via mire direct route . These emails continued to arrive even after arrival! The steeo rutted drive up to the property is Frankly a nightmare with tire rubber burning and scary slip is gf back down on ascent . It needs to get sorted if clients are expected to pay “ luxury “ rates for such accommodation. Never understood how it was able to turn down heating vis wall controls so doors and windows were kept open to avoid overheating. Master bedroom height of mattresses unsuitable for mobility impaired The tree in front garden needs cutting back to enable good view ftom ground floor - mops etc left on patio. Generally garden disappointing and no info re walks in information pack . Though Joe provided on request sone information on booking

"Loved house, garden very disappointing"

Lovely location. Beautiful house

Let down by unkempt outside, dangerously loose paving slabs, broken chairs

"Relaxing, comfortable and a pleasure."

10.0

Fabulous location and had all the amenities of home! Spacious and roomy, and very clean. Would look to come back, if we can get the family organised.

Nothing in particular, a few differences in the way we would do things at home, but a lovely homely place to say and explore The Gower.

"Lovely house in a quiet location with wonderful views - great base for driving to local beaches"

8.0

The location is second to none. The track to the house could be a little challenging if you had a low-slung car but directions were clear and so it was easy to find. Superb views to the back of the house and great that you could walk straight onto footpaths. House was beautifully clean and well appointed. Great spaces to hang out so we weren't on top of each other. Kitchen had everything we needed (we brought our own kitchen knives - always a good idea for self-catering we find). A lovely touch to have copies of the ordnance survey maps for the local area available. One point that should be noted is that the bed in the main bedroom is very high. It is lovely insofar as you can then look out over the bay while in bed but it needs a step to climb up (or a decent lunge) for anyone of average height!

Only a few niggles - the patio has seen better days and some of the stones are loose which caused a fall. Luckily it was a teenager who was unscathed but an older person or a toddler would not have escaped so lightly. A broken garden sofa was on the patio, Given the cost of the property this really should have been removed since it was an eyesore. The management company need to check whether the barbecue is clean since there were clearly some lazy guests before us. We went to use the barbecue and it was filthy with left over grease so we abandoned our plans and cooked inside which was a shame. Finally, it would have been very useful to have more tea towels and towels - two tea towels isn't really enough for a week self-catering. Each person was allocated a hand towel and a slightly larger one - again, a little more generosity in the towel stakes would have been very welcome.
