The Bull

Location was great. The building had a lot of history.

No parking. Would have been nice to be offered something towards the cost of the public car park. We were disappointed in the evening meal. The fish (of the fish and chips) was overcooked.

Cracking period Inn in the heart of the town. Close to the Abbey and lots of lovely shops and restaurants. Good food albeit a limited menu but very good quality. Plenty of extra tea and coffee making

Cleanliness and the staff. Room was lovely too.

Lack of breakfast. It’s only served at weekends. However, there are a Plenty of cafes serving breakfast nearby.

The hotel was nice and clean the staff was friendly and helpful I would stay here again

There was nothing I didn't like

Staff were great, very welcoming. Plenty of charm in the building Room was a good size and there was plenty of water etc available. Slept well and you could not hear the pub. Value for money was excellent.

Shower size was very small, the bathroom was big so could easily accommodate a lager shower.

Great location, friendly staff, nice room.

Very busy pub, especially at weekends l, so not the place for an early night.

The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated, overlooking Battle high street. Large wardrobe and dressing table with water, tea, coffee and biscuits and further supplies on the landing to help yourself if you run out - a really nice touch. Spotlessly clean. Bed was super comfy. They even cleaned and made the bed during my 2 night stay which I wasn't expecting. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. It's an old building so I could hear talking and music from the bar below but that stopped about 1230 on a Saturday night. Fine for me as I'm a night owl. We used to stay at Chequers when visiting Battle as it has parking but after a few bad experiences will be staying at the Bull in future. Top marks guys!
