NIGHTMARE STAY - AVOID Kuber Palace Mahabaleshwar Rating 1/5 (Terrible) I have never been so disappointed and disgusted by a hotel stay. This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience of my life, completely ruining our Mahabaleshwar trip. If you value cleanliness, quiet, and basic guest services, do NOT book this hotel. Disgusting and Unprepared Room Despite booking in advance and informing the staff of our evening arrival, our assigned room was not ready and was utterly vile. Filth and Pests: The room was clearly not cleaned. The bedsheets had noticeable food stains/marks, and the pillows smelled terrible. The room was infested with mosquitoes. Water Damage and Mold: The room reeked of a foul odor. The walls had moles (mold), and the floor was dangerously wet as the tile was leaking water from somewhere. Pathetic Last-Minute Assignment: We were given a miserable, smelly room right next to the swimming pool, which proved to be a source of noise all night. Complete Lack of Service and Noise We immediately requested a room change, but the staff refused to accommodate us, leaving us stuck in this unacceptable room. Excessive Noise: Since our room was right next to the pool, we were subjected to loud noise and drinking from other guests late into the night. This completely disrupted our sleep, in spite of our complaints. Zero Privacy: The sound insulation is non-existent. You can hear LOUD sounds from the neighboring bathroom/toilet directly into your own. Parking and Accessibility This hotel is completely ill-equipped for the number of guests it serves. Inadequate Parking: There is not enough car parking space. Unacceptable Key Demand: The staff demanded that we hand over our car keys to them so they could move our vehicle if necessary. This is a massive security risk, and when I refused, they rudely implied that it would be our problem if we had to get up in the middle of the night to move the car ourselves.
