A bit noisy on main street but not too bad. Didn’t like that you’re not guaranteed a parking place.

"Really disappointed with the front desk. I couldn’t check in even with my ID and booking confirmation, and they were not"

I was really let down by the front desk. My partner and I booked this place for a business trip but he couldn’t make it in the end. When I arrived, the front desk guy told me I couldn’t check in and would lose my $1200 just because my partner wasn’t there with his ID, even though I had my own ID and the booking confirmation. He basically threatened me with that before even trying to help. I paid for this hotel and yet I felt bullied and disrespected. I asked to speak to the manager and he flat out refused and said I couldn’t. I honestly felt like I was being interrogated. I’m Asian and I look young, and I can’t help but wonder if that’s why he treated me this way. I felt Iike being bullied by an ICE agent from the news that’s how bad it was. Things only changed when my older American colleagues from the same hotel came over to help me. He was so much nicer to them. My partner and I eventually figured out how to change the booking online and only then did he let me in. If I hadn’t been able to reach my partner, I would have been stuck on the street losing $1200. He never once smiled at me the whole stay. He had no idea what customer service means. I ended up leaving a night early because the whole experience made me feel so uncomfortable. I can’t believe a hotel in SF treats guests like this. If you’re a foreigner, think twice before booking here. You don’t want to end up somewhere you don’t know anyone and get treated like you don’t belong.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
