Conde 3BDR Luxury with Balcony

Great communication about meeting time. The apartment is lovely and only a few minutes walk to the metro and there is a good supermarket at the end of the road. The cafe downstairs does a great brunch and is very reasonably priced. As some of our party are vegan we found a few very good restaurants that catered for all. We particularly liked Honest Greens (especially as it was only 5 minutes away and it rained a lot during our stay!).

It would have been nice to leave our bags there before check in but as it happens there is a nice cafe downstairs from the apartment so we managed to have lunch there with our bags. We were offered a link to a luggage collection and drop off service though.

Very comfortable, centrally located.

Check in should be easier, we were waiting 45 minutes for the man who gave us the keys. There is a safe box next to the door, the keys could be there,

We loved that the rooms were separated from the living room+kitchen by a long corridor, so early risers and late sleepers did not disturb each other. The traditional wooden shutters kept out the heat and light efficiently. Excellent communication before check-in. Public transport and grocery store close by.

The noise level depends entirely on whether the flat above the apartment is occupied or not. If it is occupied (as it was for 2 nights out of the 7 we spent there), you can hear every step and most of the conversations from above. Otherwise the apartment was silent. The balcony is not really usable (view not nice, noisy, too hot). We were fairly warned about problems with the elevator, so we chose not to use that either.

Th unit itself was nice, big and everything worked. Spacious and acceptably cleaned. Elevator is virtually unusable, but they don't say that, be ware. Location can be shady at night, brothels around. Balcony faces smelly junkyard, cannot be enjoyed. All A/C's share one compressor which means no room will reach desired temp if 3 or more are turned on. Tiny, super tiny hot water tank, enough for two 7-min showers, no more than that.

The hosts are horrible, worst human experience dealing with all those guys. They are not accommodating, helpful or flexible at all. Once you read the fine print that is it! forget about asking for help, pointers, additional stuff. Non of it will be provided to you, their job end at renting you their unit. They have higher prices than hotels around, but give you half the service, (when did this become acceptable?). No face to face interaction, nothing beyond what has been done on the net. We needed additional pillows and towels for a whole week stay (they said they provide one per bed, end of conversation). The key was left beneath a public seating where drunks gather during day and night, I had to physically move a homeless man to pick it up. Not to mention the building is literally next to a brothel! I had to keep it a secret from the family when I noticed. Just know what you are getting into. It is not worth the price for what you get in return, and don't expect anything in exchange for nothing, at all!
