location and view overlooking the beach and table mountain is exceptional. Very close to restaurants and market. Safe to walk around at night as well. security is good to enter the apartments.

we had to spend sleepless nights due to bed bugs. I brought this to the attention of the host and we were told it’s a ‘normal thing there’. The first night was fine but the problem became worse and worse. The kids were complaining of ‘stuff crawling’ on them during the night while in bed. At first we brushed it off trying to make the most of our stay and not thinking much of it or not paying too much attention to it … until it started in our bed too. We made a video of the minute pests the apartmentsts and sent it to the host. I asked her to please arrange for the bedding to be changed and to fumigate. I planned the next day so we could give the cleaning staff and host a whole day to remedy the situation. We left at about 10h30am the following morning and informed the host that they have the place to themselves now as we would be out for the day. During the my wife received a call from the host but the reception was terrible, not being able to make out what was being said. We got home at about 11pm that night and to our astonishment, we were told that 2 bottles of doom was left at the security for us to spray the rooms … nothing was done about the bugs at all. No clean bedding, no fumigation. We entered the apartment and sat down in the living area where as soon as we did, the crawling pests were all over us. The host said she did not have time as she had a ‘hectic day’. I was completely and utterly disappointed by the lack of action on her part. I have the video and our communique as proof too. The kids refused to sleep in their beds even after I tried to get rid of the problem by using the insufficient 2 doom cans were we given. It did not help at all. I sent a lengthy message to our host in which relayed our frustration and disgust, no response received that night. My daughter suffers from acute sinusitis and asthma. Sleeping there another night was never going to happen.
