"Better for a day trip than a longer stay for location, but the Hive was good. Small but comfortable"

Didn't have breakfast as not sure this was included. Would be £15 per head if not so as my family member has a few food restrictions we took our own.

Hawkshead was lovely in the day, but after 5pm very quiet as most places closed, and expensive for food options. Might have a better vibe in the summer though.

"A good base for a couple of nights right in the centre of Hawkshead."

Great central location and close to the carpark. Nice dog friendly hotel and the food downstairs was also good.

The room was very compact. It’s ok for a couple of nights.

The velux window in my room was broken, and taped closed. This on a sunny day, made the room very gloomy, disappointing.

Great location. We stayed in the Grizedale suite which had a fabulous bathroom including the roll top free standing bath.

There were no hooks anywhere to hang things up (only one for a towel on the outside of the shower. Please could you put some up!

"Exceptional"

Located in a small pretty village that had other pubs and food available within walking distance. Large bathroom with decent size shower. Comfortable bed. Pod coffee machine.

Had to park in outdoor open public car park and pay £9 overnight. Park and display ticket. About 200 meters away. However we could still drop bags off and collect by pulling up out front.

The staff were super lovely and accomodating! very helpful and welcoming which was reassuring as a solo traveller. Bed was comfy and bedroom was clean.

The bed was a little squeaky. TV channels didn’t work for me.
