Thrilled when I arrived to know that this place would be my home for half a month. Great vibe, wonderful tropical courtyard, and clean.

As per the list of complaints, the tiny shower was a bit much.

Very beautiful and comfortable house in the heart of Catania. Equipped with everything you need for living. Host is very helpful and check-in was done super easy and comfortable. Wish to stay always here when I will be back

It’s well-located in the center of town, and quiet. It’s very spacious, with an upstairs loft area, although this spaciousness comes with a major catch (see below). The kitchen is well-furnished. AC unit works well. There are screens on the windows to keep bugs out, and a bug zapper inside the apartment.

The shower is EXTREMELY small, even by European standards. I’m not a large guy, and it was still a struggle since it’s barely the size of a phone booth. There are also some things partially broken too… like a wobbly toilet seat lid, a leaky shower head, some missing/dead light bulbs. The outlets and power strips are also very old and loose, so often your electronics won’t stay plugged in or they lose the connection. I did also have one MAJOR issue after check-out: Apparently, you’re not allowed to use the entire apartment if you book for just one person. I found the main bed uncomfortable so I moved to one of the other beds for the rest of my stay. However, because I slept in 2 of the 4 beds (GASP), the host contacted me afterwards saying that he was going to have to charge me double (an extra 500€) all because he now has to wash an extra set of sheets. I tried to reason with him, but he claimed that the listing is set up to charge per bed, which was 100% false. The beds are not rented out separately on the listing, nor do the house rules state anything about such an absurd one-bed-per-person rule. I reassured him that I was by myself and didn't sneak in any guests (which he could corroborate via the security cameras outside), but he said that that was not the issue -- my mere use of two beds is what fully justifies charging me another 500€. Luckily, I never heard anything further from him and never received a bill, either because he regained his sanity or because booking.com would not allow him to pull this mafia-esque shakedown. Based on this extremely negative customer experience in dealing with this host, I honestly cannot recommend this place, regardless of its merits.

Great location and so close to everything. The apartment has everything you need, comfy bed and washing machine was a plus. Quiet and spacious so was a nice 4 nights stay here.

I already read the comments that the shower was small which is was but not really a deal breaker for me. Shower heads are always broken in Europe so it's expected along my travels. It would have been nice to close the shutters in the main room or have curtains, as at night when the lights are on the other apartments could probably see through. Other than that was great and would recommend.

Amazing location, close to everything, quite inner yard, no street noise.
