The bed was a little soft

Very spacious and well presented apartment - bigger than we were expecting. Location made it easy to walk to town for meals. Great having off street parking

I loved everything. Modern, spacious and had everything we needed. This has been our favourite accommodation on our trip around Wales and England.

Nothing.

Fantastic stay. Great hosts and perfect place for our stay.

The apartment was spotless however there is a strong smell of dampness within the hall and bathroom, very overpowering we thought about leaving early but were there for a funeral and only for 2 days. Flat was well equipped, good view from the balcony.

The area itself is very run down, myself and sister did not feel safe walking about. Car windows had been smashed one night with car alarms going off during the night. The one way system means people speed along the road right outside at all hours of the night. We had some idiot doing wheelies and revving his motorbike up and down the main road near Tesco when we were walking our dogs and felt really on edge. Lots of young teenagers hanging around tesco too. We couldn't wait to leave the next morning. Cracks in almost every room of the building.

So my review here is out later than I had intended, but I still remember my stay here! I settled to stay here to enjoy a few hikes at the Beacons (the temperatures were somewhat spicy) Finding the property was easy and the onsite driveway easily accommodated my hatchback. After collecting the keys, I wondered in to make myself at home - I found the property to be clean, airy and making good use of space without any of the rooms feeling cluttered. The amenities were appreciated with the kitchen holding all that is needed to make everything from a coffee to meals. The bedroom itself was airy and stayed quite cool even with the limited exposure to the summer sun in the mornings and I found the bed to be comfortable. Everything in the bathroom worked perfectly and once again, I appreciated its cleanliness and decorated the while property was. One of the areas I utterly appreciated was the balcony area - after a long day of wondering around in the heat, it was a joy to sit out there in the cooler evenings and as it was west-facing, it offered a beautiful view of the surrounding areas during prolonged sunsets. Yes, yes the wifi works reasonably well and was fast enough for ones everyday needs. The location of the the property itself is practical and convenient as its situated along one of the quieter residential roads but with the town centre only being a few mins walk away including the Tesco. The road connections are convenient and offers access to other motorways and major routes but equally as easy for the Brecon Beacons and surrounding areas with POIs sitting within a 15-20m drive. I was fortunate enough to have met the host(s) of whom seemed eager to assist in anyway possible, whether it was advice on the area and beyond whilst taking out a little time to getting to know who you are. Even before my stay, all of my queries were handled promptly and on one occasion about the hot water.

Although this is a point that did not affect my stay personally, it's something worth raising as its flagged on other reviews. So some of the lights are timer based and react to motion - these are found in the hallway and in the bathroom. Now, during long and sunny days this isnt a problem as one wouldn't be plunged into darkness whilst taking a shower and what not but I 'could' see it becoming a point of contention. I would recommend that either the timer here is increased and/or another sensor is installed to ensure that the light can remain on. Once again, I could deal with it but its something to be aware of. Also, it is recommended that you take up your on fan for those of you who get a bit toasty as they (currently) do not offer one!

Great location and great open plan kitchen/dining/living room area, very nicely decorated and cosy. Perfect for a trip for a small group of friends. Extremely clean. Amenities provided by owner were very nice. Garden was very well maintained and decorated- would be lovely to sit out in when it’s nice weather.

The mattress on the double bed and the pillows on that bed were quite uncomfortable.

Beautiful spacious apartment with a lovely view, central location close to High Street & big Tesco. Right at the foot of the Brecon Beacons so easy driving for hikes. Easy and available parking
