Big thing that people should be aware of.... the drive in and out of here isn't for the faint of heart. We actually had a few people feeling sick after the steep and curvy climb up the mountain. On the way down, you need to be sure you have good brakes! Some very steep spots, and several spots where you see cars are bottoming out. The view from the room is great, but just be aware that if it's raining and/or dark, that climb isn't fun at all. I think this is a better place for a couple to stay for a weekend, if you plan to not leave much, but for a family that wants to come and go fairly often, it's really not a very convenient location. The room really is nice, but you do have to lug everything up the stairs... no other option. But, if you love wonderful views, it really is top notch there.
Everything was sticky & there were roaches.
The property was built in the 80s and it shows its age. Lots of pealing paint and rotted wood on the outside. There are multiple areas of water damage on the inside ceilings especially around the fireplace area. There was a wind storm on the second night and there is a loose piece of metal on the chimney that made a horrible screaching sound all night. We also found a few roaches around the kichen area and the bathrooms. To top it off, the walls between the units must not be insulated as we could have participated in the conversation the neighbors were having every night. Overall, its a typical "investor owned rental" that gets minimum care and is just ised to reep profit off people that most likely will jump on it due to low price....
It was good
We were in the area for a gift show and family vacation. The trek up the mountain the first time was a little scary, but once at the top, the view was well worth it. The unit was perfect for the 5 of us. While it does sleep 8, it would feel a little tight with more than 5. The indoor pool and hot tub are close and we had a nice time there. The kitchen has all you need to make a meal. Our only complaint would be that when we pulled out the sofa bed it didn’t look like the sheets had been changed and there was popcorn forked up in the bed, but it didn’t ruin our trip at all. The telescope is a nice touch and the kids really enjoyed that.
We enjoyed our stay and property was very clean. Loved the Mountain View. Driving up hill was adventure for us. So far great experience
Great place to stay if you like mountain sceneries and wild life at its best. Being almost 3000 altitude up the drive up and down is very exciting. We saw a few Bears wondering around.
We had a great stay at this property. The view from the balcony was amazing! The apartment was clean and had everything you need if you intend to cook (owen is on the smaller size,so 16” pizzas won’t fit) and then serve your food. To our surprise there were a lot of black bears in the neighborhood which was an added benefit for us. We spot a mama bear with 2 cubs right by the building, so be careful when you go outside, definitely don’t let children run around unattended, lock your car doors and please don’t feed the bears.
