All was just ok overall

Places were not cleaned . Behind the chair to turn the lamp on . Bathroom door lock broken !!! . Someone locked in for 5 mins (panic ) , simple to replace , a job that could have been done . Got blocked in with parking one day . Then couldn’t park the next day . ( lady in chip shop)

The position .

Could have been cleaner in parts and oven had never been cleaned looking at the colour of it!!

The cottage is very well situated and has a lot of character.

There were no wardrobes or cupboard space in two of the bedrooms which made it difficult to store clothes and suitcases. We had rented for 6 people but there were only 3 mugs in the kitchen. We were each given a bath towel but not a hand towel- there was only one in each bathroom. There was a tiny tablet of soap at each handbasin but no other toiletries at all were available. We felt it was a shame as these small details that could be easily solved would have made a difference. .

Comfortable and convenient in a great location

Information on local amenities was lacking even on the weblink. Also, the Wi-Fi details were incorrect- a letter was missed out from the password.

When we are travelling with children and my elderly father, bathrooms seem to be rather important. This property has a full bathroom upstaris and another upstairs as well as a converted wardrobe in the master bedroom that has a toilet and sink (much to the amusement of our children). Nice, enclosed accessible outdoor/decked area at the back of the property. Great to have a second lounge. gave the children their own space (would be even better if this room could have a TV in though) Nice clean towels and bedding.

The parking wasn't really accessible for us on this trip. There is a small lane (mud with grass down the centre) that was water logged and we didn't want to chance getting our car stuck. We parked on the High Street over night and moved the car at 8am each morning. (Overnight is fine, and then with a parking permit - available in many of the shops on the High Street, free of charge, you can park for 2 hours.) The cottage is an old property and as such, has a few dents and marks (including on doors and carpets). I was initially worried that we could have been blamed for these as there's no mention when the deposit it taken. The kitchen could do with a bit of a sort out. It's as if someone has bought huge amounts from a charity shop or has inherited lots of old crockery and left it in the cottage. Six of everything would be plenty (therefore leaving space in the kitchen to put food) rather than having 20 dinner plates, side plates, bowls of different sizes etc etc.

Very comfortable for three people to have own rooms and great location. Convenient parking nearby on High Street. Stokesley a lovely village.

The key safe by the front door was very difficult to open and needs replacing. The rear safe good. Couldn’t turn on downstairs shower, and a loose tap in en-suite. Also need to be aware of steps up and down into rooms. No instructions re electric fire.

Lovely area. House was amazing, comfortable beds and comfortable sofas, we were there just for a weekend and enjoyed it.
