Bloom Boutique l Bandra

Staff was quite friendly and helpful. Situated in a good Bandra neighborhood with plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops nearby, the beach is also a short walk away (~1km) which makes for nice early morning runs to and from the hotel. The breakfast was good, the staff manning the breakfast was extremely courteous and kind. The in-house restaurant VRANDA had amazing food, especially their peach iced tea, loved it! Overall, I had a very pleasant experience.

Having to ask someone everytime to open the main entrance was a bit annoying, it isn't automatic. Secondly, the music blasting in the morning at breakfast (EDM) was not tasteful at all.

WiFi was very poor speed. I had to follow ip a couple of times with the front desk to get a change of room.

Bloom Boutique is located on quite a busy road in Bandra, to the front but that doesn't mean there is any more road noise than other parts of the city. Bandra is also a really good location for shopping, dining and bars and many such locations can be easily reached on foot, or by taxi / auto rickshaw. Within the hotel, there's a smart cafe on the ground floor. Dining room and breakfast hall are on two lower floors. The ground level falls away to the rear of the hotel, so the lower Ground (breakfast) room is on street level at the rear of the premises. I arrived just after midday and went to the cafe for refreshment. Whilst I was there I saw several groups of ladies coming in to set-up games of Mahjong. That non-residents can use the cafe and that they should choose this location and that is, to my mind, very much a positive point. Rooms are light and airy with good A/C. All the staff were super helpful and I would definitely recommend this as a good place to stay.

The only point I consider could be improved upon is the self-serve coffee (pod) machine in the breakfast hall. I thought the coffee it produced was third-rate at best. By way of comparison, the Cafe on the ground floor has a proper coffee machine and the coffee there was excellent. That doesn't mean baristas should be on hand to operate a machine all through breakfast hours, only that much better self-service machines, which grind beans to produce each cup, are readily available.
