The Hermitage Inn and Taphouse

Nice property

Great privately-owned hotel, with convenient off-street parking and a restaurant/tap house on site! Perfect for stopping on a motorcycle trip, where I don't like to have to ride to dinner after getting a shower and relaxing. Rooms are simple but modern and clean. Staff very friendly. Only reason I didn't give it five stars is the very sparse continental breakfast offering, and the restaurant doesn't open until 11am. I will stay here again!

Beautiful building

It was our first time to stay there and we found everything very nice. The lady who checked us in was wonderful and the room was clean and comfortable.

Love this place!

The Hermitage was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The light-blocking curtains are pretty, but light pours into the room from the top of the drape. Security lights + minimally blocking drapes necessitate the use of a sleep mask…unless you are accustomed to sleeping with a night light on. (No judgment) We were in a King Room w/o kitchenette. The bathroom sink area was very little. For the price, I would not choose this hotel, again. Note…Luckily, I packed two sleep masks.

The word delightful really describes the staff. They went out of their way to accommodate a special request. When I mentioned a possible improvement they might make, they were disturbed there was the remotest hint of a problem, asked if I needed anything to help, and assured me my suggestion would be passed on.
