Castle Varagh Hotel & Bar

Breakfast was great. Parking was easy. Staff was amazing and so helpful and friendly. Rooms are not soundproof. Unfortunately the room we booked and paid for was not available upon arrival; our 3 bed family room was downgraded to a one bed which meant someone had to sleep on the floor. The hotel and Hotels.com pointed the finger at each other and we didn't get any refund. The front desk was very apologetic and helpful; she got us a free drink at the bar to compensate us but you can't really compensate for such a big screw up...

Lovely country hotel in Castlepollard, excellently staffed by friendly helpful people. The location for us was great because we were meeting family nearby. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy. Parking right outside, very convenient.
